M2 Carb needs a rework, I've tried and just cant do anything with it

Please, rework the M2 Carbine … I’t totally unusable in full auto and in semi it’s just an M1 … It’s really useless in it’s current condition.

The recoil is way too much for a .306 …

As I said I have tried to like it but just can’t … Please fix …

It’s usable in CQC, but once you get past about 10 m, it really starts to suffer. The recoil combined with the sights make it unpleasant to play at best, although bots are really good with it because those things don’t affect bots.

I don’t understand why my bot seems to perform 200% better with the m2 than other assulter and mg guns, there is something strange about it.

Mine are pretty busted with the Bren too, I don’t really understand why as I can’t emulate that result on the BAR or the MG 34. An My average Bren guy gets 3-6 kills a life, my average M2C guy gets 2-5 kills a life, average BAR and MG34 gets 3 at most.

In fact, because of the internal construction and lightness of the gun, the recoil of the M2 is quite significant, judging from the video.
It is about equal to the recoil of the fg-42, although to be honest, in the video I attach, the recoil of the fg-42 even seems less.
In any case, the M2 is worth fixing the sight and making the correct amount of ammo in the semi-automatic rifle class 30+30, not 30+60. Then it will be quite a suitable weapon for short to medium range shooting, capable of outgunning many SMGs, but like the fg it will be limited in ammo not allowing it to be used as a full-fledged SMG.
The sight is the main problem of M1 and M2 carbines. If it had been more comfortable, it would have been a completely different weapon

Imagine bots using FG in full auto like M2. Altough idk if it would be another nail coffin for the allies, or a way to nerf 9 man FG squads, cause bots waste all your ammo.

We need commands to the bots to save ammo. If you play without pouches on semi-automatic rifles like SVT, Gewehr and others, they waste the first 10 rounds, leaving a measly 20 rounds for the player

it is forbidden but you could do that. Just switch the fire selector manually for each bot :v.
bots spend a maximum of 1 magazine tho. but they practically have unlimited ammo.

I know it from the receiving end and bots are nightmare with it. You see US bot shooting lasers from afar and then log starts to fill with M2 kills.

don’t forget to put “rickyd123” in the giga dog since that will be the only gun i will use with some expection

It’s probably a combination of things. First, bots can (maybe) perfectly compensate for recoil, and we can’t, also bots don’t care what the sights look like. Second, since those two things are true, the M2 does more damage per shot and has a higher effective range than the SMGs, so the bots being perfect shots when the system allows them to be (they seem to either miss the battlefield entirely or be laser accurate, and that can change on the same bot between shots) will do better with it than with SMGs. As for the MGs, I rarely see my MG armed bots actually shoot at anything, but the M2 is given to troops, and those bots shoot all the time.

M2 Carbine is a trash, even since i’m wehraboo, i just can’t understand how shitty is this gun.
I’ll make a suggestion thread about fixing it soon too.

That’s a demonstrably gross exaggeration.

you realize you’re on a thread where the OP is asking the devs to make the M2 carbine better, and therefore a better counter to the FG42, right? If they make the M2 better/easier to use, the FG42 isn’t such a problem anymore.

OP, I missed this before, but the Carbines aren’t chambered in .30-06, if that’s what you meant. They’re chambered in .30 Carbine, but I agree they recoil to hard for what they are and what they shoot.

no it isnt the fg 42 mg 34, mg42 mp 40, fnab every gun is a laser except you dont notice it cause you play only Germans they can hit you with laser from across the map on dday and other one where on the beach with no problem no recoil nothing hardly
