you can buy the m1911 for 3 silver orders or you can buy the colt new service for 1 silver order and have 3 guns at the same damage as the m1911.

The 1911 is overall a better gun, as it has both more rounds in a magazine, a higher rof (i believe) and reloads faster.
So while I wouldn’t say the cost is exactly justified (no pistol should cost 3 silver orders), it does make sense.
