M1910 Maxim and MG-34 on tripod

We already have sandbags so you could just build your cover.
I don’t like the idea of MG nest with sandbags pernamently attached because it would be very hard to place if there are some obstacles.

I still thing MG-42 should be left for Berlin and Normandy so we can have weapon difference in different campaigns

So it is historically accurate - there obviously was no MG42 in 1941 Battle of Moscow. But it is an obvious placeholder taken from Cuisine Royale, so we will get something else.

I don’t agree, just give it as one of the options. If you want then use MG34 but MG42 is still available for everybody else.

The main issue is that MG-42 didn’t see service until late 1942.
MG-34 is a great gun and shouldn’t be replaced by the MG42 in all campaigns, it will make the game boring

I don’t want to replace it. Just give both of them as options.

Than why would anyone use MG-34 over the MG-42?
You said it yourself

MG-34 is worse

In other campaigns - why not? The more options we have to customize our playstyle the better. But just no MG42s in Moscow. There could be some other MGs used as upgrades/alternatives.

Yes, it’s worse, but mainly in terms of ergonomics and production. In game it would be difference between accuracy and less recoil vs firepower and suppression.

MG-42 is more popular amongst WW2 players.
It will just throw the other MG in the trash…and why do you want MG-42 in Moscow so much?

If you want MG-42 so much just play it in Normandy and Berlin

Not in Moscow, I’m talking generally. If the weapon was available then we should have access to it.

But it wasn’t available in Moscow

Ehh

I very much like the idea of adding the Maxim to the game. On another note, if the MG-34 is going to be added to campaigns where it was historically present anyways, and considering the MG-42 already exists in the game, then let the players choose which gun they will bring, provided the campaign historically had them around. The players hopefully will know well enough why they do the things they do.

No it didnt

Ok, everybody knows already that there was no MG42 in Moscow. They are speaking about future campaigns, where it should be available. No need to push this diccusion further.

Oh

Sorry I understood him wrong

My bad :man_facepalming:

I want it too
It’s a great gun and it should definitely replace the MG-42 on sandbags

You know it falls over as soon as someone shoots it.
Nobody picks it back up because they didn’t sign for it.
