The Luddites were members of a 19th-century movement of English textile workers who opposed the use of certain types of automated machinery due to concerns relating to worker pay and output quality. They often destroyed the machines in organised raids. Members of the group referred to themselves as Luddites, self-described followers of “Ned Ludd”, a legendary weaver whose name was used as a pseudonym in threatening letters to mill owners and government officials. To stop the progress.
I wonder - why this information can be actual for some people between us?
Oh, @Декард , you’re hinting at our success, including mine, when we managed to remove the PPSh-41 (S) from the upgrade tree, right? It didn’t belong there. I was never against adding it to the game, but only as an event weapon, for example, a weapon of some Soviet commando unit. The PPSh-41 (S) is clearly a paper weapon, and possibly even a fake weapon, and we have always kept such weapons out of the tech tree in our game. There are exceptions, such as Japan, but they are ONLY in cases of extreme necessity, when there is no way around them.
It probably will be remembered for years considering that previously the Devs refused to budge on unpopular decision like removal of the BP shop and copy pastes in Japan and USA tech tree. This is really a turning point in terms of community impact on the game. Good work
I couldn’t have done it alone, @TheSaboteur59 and @OggeKing also made topics of their own, discussing why the PPSH-41 (S) shouldn’t be a TT weapon and those that also supported our cause.
My intention was never to spam, I just saw your first topic, fully agreed with it, but saw that it was being derailed by discussions about “Soviet Bias” and game balance. I wanted to refocus the discussion, plainly state my main issues and specify that I didn’t want the earlier problems to be brought up again, and I believe that resonated with people (looking at the results).
Good work all, topic creators, people who liked those posts, and the people who went out of their way to make their voices heard by typing out a reply in support on these topics and news posts.
And most importantly of all, thank you to the devs and community managers for listening to us.
