Lower graphical settings

probably not the first one but, why does war thunder have compatibility mode, but enlisted doesn’t? both games made by the same company, same launcher look, i can run war thunder just fine at compatibility mode at around 120 or so, but enlisted on lower graphics it’s still playable but, 30 to 10 fps isn’t optimal, i dont want those fancy shadows, or super high quality effects, even if my game will look terrible, the graphical settings on the game is pretty limited compared to war thunder, i mean, the game can’t even be configured on the launcher, which caused me, so many freezes, i knew the game would not run by any means on medium graphics like it was set by default for me, so i had to crash, and crash and crash until i could get to the menu and actually change my graphical settings, to not even optimal peformance, i have one thing im sure, most people on war thunder play on low end pcs and laptops like me, they are glad they have a setting that allows them to play the game at a high peformance, and i’m sure they would be glad to have that same option on the launcher, to be able to properly play the game, i’m not a fancy dude with 120 fps that cries about a 10 fps drop, or dropped to 60 fps, i dream of being able to play the game like that, please gaijin, hear my request! and you are to receive much love from many players!

I guess they decided to leave the ULQ plague in WT

Because ULQ ruins tanks in WT. No fucking thank you.

Because ULQ ruined WT tanks
You can take your toaster and play something else until you can get a current gen console or make an upgrade. Compromising the game so people with awful computers can play also opens the game up for tryhards to abuse the lower settings for any gain they can.

All graphics settings we have now are already as low as they possibly can go without resorting to not rendering stuff to begin with.

The issue with not rendering stuff is that you can look through it. This results in the ULQ user being able to see more of the battlefield than players at normal graphics settings, resulting in a competitive advantage. This exact competitive advantage is why every competitive player in war thunder is FORCED to run the game on ULQ, making everything look ugly, and breaking immersion.

If the same were to happen to Enlisted, it would lose all of the visual advantages over much more fleshed out games like Heroes & Generals.

On top of that, if you cannot afford to buy a setup that can run the game smoothly on medium settings, you most likely will not be spending money on this game. Enlisted is not a charity, and has no reason to put money into creating ULQ graphics settings, which, as mentioned above, will ruin the game for a lot of competitive people, without earning any of that money back.

As a result, I am heavily against implementing ULQ settings for Enlisted.

Edit: love how this was flagged for being inappropriate despite being a full explanation about why ULQ was not implemented, without targeting anyone.

Yes, dont really understand why its not a dx12 game to begin with or why there isnt an option to use dx12, it would make a massive difference in performance.

I agree, but this game on expensive equipment does not work as it should

That is a graphical bug. Please make a bug report on it, using the bug report guidelines.

yeah, I play war thunder on a laptop and don’t even use minimum and I get 40 fps on average but on enlisted the minimum graphics settings still has you play at like 12 fps for me at least. I don’t think it’ll be that necessary to have it as low as it can be in war thunder it just needs to be able to be playable on devices less powerful than pcs or gaming laptops.

Laptops are not build to play games on. Stop trying to play games on something that is not intended for it.
A “gaming PC” that is good enough to run Enlisted literally costs less than getting all available premium squads ingame right now. Basically any dedicated graphics card will do. Any CPU will do. Etc

thanks, unlike a few people you weren’t just being a bit salty, i know ULQ is bad in war thunder, damn, i know people abuse the hell out of it, but, still, rethinking, yes, no ULQ, and i do not spend money in games btw, i think it’s pretty damn stupid to do.

but, please do understand that a few things on enlisted are forced, i, really do not want ambient occlusion, it just breaks down my laptop, which, by the way ran the game at around 40 to 50 fps, at times 30 or 25 but to me, damn that’s optimal performance (although latest updates made the game crash right on startup for some reason) right there, the weird looking motion blur?? like why? ultra high quality shadows too, shadows can be lowered but still be functional gameplay wise, i dont want see through bushes or any of that, i just think that the game should be more bearable to play on the lowest setting, again, no need for so many things, not talking about rendering bushes or terrains, i’ve seen arma 3 at long distances lmao, terrain being see throught at long distances, i just dont want models that are, extremely realistic looking or ambient occlusion, motion blur or those super high quality shadows, again, sure shadows may be used for cover so reducing them would leave some people vulnerable, ok, just, dont outright remove them, make them look choppier or the, full on classic RTS style, sprite shadows, idk, but dude thanks for clarifying why ULQ would be bad on enlisted, i appreciate your lack of saltyness and toxicity, i dont want ULQ anymore, but, bad graphics actually looking bad, instead of looking like the high settings would be nice-

aaaalso, still does not explain the lack of game settings in the launcher, cmon like that’s actually super useful.

Thats already a thing, not to long ago i was messing about random setting and i found at one poin when i was flying, the tanks started to render in around 1300m

The issue is that building wouldnt render in before 600 - 800m, that ment you where spotting tanks super easily [immagen Minecraft creative in flat mode]

but if it is the best optimized that exists?
I have a trash pc and the game works great, maybe when this topic was created fidelityfx didn’t exist?
No more ulq please…
I also don’t think it’s necessary with the exceptional performance this game has
