Low tier TT adjust

During the latest updates, it is obvious that the developers are trying to save Soviets and USA/UK in BR I-III from the overwhelming German might, but the result, as there is no publicly available statistical data, is personally speaking invaild.

Taking the Soviet Union as an example, if adding powerful BR II weapons is not working, then the problem should lie with BR I items.

The Tier 1 TT of Soviets is even worse than Japan’s. Soviets have no BR I Attacker. PPD-34 is not that type of novice friendly SMG (800 RPM, while PPS-42 is 600), and the next TOZ-B shotgun may be misleading (its single presence may interrupts playing style).

This is just my speculation (based on replays), but it seems that it is because the Soviets have fewer items on TT, making the roster of Soviet players less sturdy/strengthen than the German players’ when they reached BR II or III as they spend less time, i.e., not fulfilling the maximum numbers of a squad, not equipping every soldier with the best loadout, not fully upgrading their soldiers, etc.

Opinion: Developers should add more weapons that are even just a change of skins to enrich Soviet Tier I-II TT. The good part of such weapons is you will never worry about balance.

Other problems (it is not just about in-match balance) being:

Sb-2m is a Bomber, not an Attacker, it has a different play style with IL-2 and should not appear as the first Attacker for Soviets.

T-28 is meaningless. It has only Shrapnel which cannot even deal with Pz.2C. I don’t understand why it was not changed after merge as its new enemies are capable.

Not only Madsen, but I shall say the whole Soviets MG line is broken. The sad fact is that everytime a weapon suitable of being BR II LMG went to be BR V SLR at last.

No, everytime a suitable item to save TT went to be premium or event.

Dunno what “new enemies” are “capable” as the only new BR2 enemy tanks are the Puma, the Pz.Sfl.Ic and the Marder and formerly the Panzer III N which for the most part was uptiered to BR3.
And apart from the former N, they aren’t really impressive.

That was once with the Gorov.

So add 3 diffrent mosin rifle each with their only diffrence beeing the wood used for the butt of the rifle?
I am sure all the USSR mains would love to have such a rich selection of weapons to chose from.

The real issue is the match making. The move to allow BR 3 v BR 2 is completely unbalanced. The Soviet tree at the lower tiers is historical based, but more so than the other trees. The German tree is completely profit driven. Like you I have no statistical data but it certainly feels like the whole game is designed to draw players to play Germany. I suspect that the German Mains gravitate to BR 3 and BR 4 and with BR 3 whiining about having to face BR 5 before the change, Gaijin chose to sacrifice BR 2 to them.

90% of that was litterly just the allied playerbase alone.
So thinking that it was the fault of axis mains is a bit disconected from reality.
