Low BR needs lower caliber AT guns too

Two different gun, that is 45mm cannon. Pak 36 is 37mm.

bad decision that would make the game worse:

  • lots of work for DF and in return we would get the same waste of time & stupid downgrade as when randoms demanded “realistic AA guns for every nation”, that fucked up AA guns for over 1 year
  • AT guns already underperform hard due to HE bugged, making them weaker will make it just worse
  • the game quality increases when every BR feels different from others and has its own advantages. low BRs are the only ones whitout auto spam and creative HA strategies like engineer structures being viable, making the AT weaker fucks that up
  • medium power AT guns are almost the only thing saving low BR players from downqueued BR3 tanks, especially for f2p players who dont have a wide selection of anti-tank vehicles ready but engineer squads instead. weakening AT guns ruins this important aspect of the game

whenever i see demands for weak AT guns theyre always not successfully thought out.
the only thing in that context that makes sense are improved high BR AT guns, because anything that makes more strategies on high BR viable is welcome, as its the most primitive BR in terms of how many different weapon types people use.
at penetrating end tier tanks with the current AT guns is obv a joke, so higher calibers are needed.

I agree with most of your post. There is literally no use for weaker AT guns. However I would like to see more regularity between AT guns across all factions.

Right now Germany has the best AT capability in the game, not just in the AT gun but also with AT launchers, Japan has the worst. If we could agree on a Caliber, like 75mm to 76mm, you could find a gun for each faction and even each nation. And 75 or 76 is a good all around caliber for AT in WW2.

It only took so long because DF refused to accept that the changes they made to the Flakvierling should’ve been lifted for the new single barrel cannons Flakvierling for every nation was retarded and looked retarded. Making things more HA and immersive is NEVER a waste of time.

Thanks for your detailed reply, given that everything you said is accurate how would high BR AT guns be added then? The only way I can think of would be adding engineers 3 squads that are locked to BR 4 or 5?

Tommys mod does it somehow. Map overwrites when its spawned in.

but the likely scenarios are the followings:

  • given as an anti tank unlock ( similar to ampulettes, HMG etc )

  • given as an anti tank unlock through a new squad

  • given as an engineer unlock

  • given as an engineer unlock through a new squad

actually, it’s slighlty more complex, because tommy went deeper and actually changed EACH hammer type.

( hammer type is essentially a hammer for a specific campaign of which engineers gets. so, if you want change germany, ideally you would need to changge 4/5 type of hammers. etc )

the difference between modding and official game, they don’t use the same templates.
which the official game uses squads templates.

And I can see the cheap price of 7000 silver for BR5 hammer, because yea Hammer who build 88mm should cost a lot

i too wished for an actual campaign based customization ( which would have hopefully worked theoretically similar to br etc )

problem is, enlisted, at it’s core, it makes changes and bases through templates of squads.

like foundations.

so you can’t really hard lock it through br.

or swap with ease.

Now its been said…lol…i actually love the idea of different hammers or tools…a way to continuously add different buildables without giving it all to the 1 engineer/BR.
