We don’t have them, let’s talk about them.
One have to understand, that for as long as we have suggestion forum section, similar initiatives have always been (mostly) left behind. (I fully sympathize myself, and other people in this regard). The developers have a certain algorithm for the introduction of new squads that satisfies them. (I’m not saying that it’s always bad, sometimes it’s even really good), but that’s how it is.
But,
We also have to move forward and actively demonstrate our ideas with our proposals. Broadly speaking, this can work with any proposition. (hope for a brighter future).
Well enough of that philosophy, I’ll go straight to my simple, but within Enlisted squad logic, logical BR I,II,III suitable German paratroopers.
Introduction:
German forces BR I, II, and III fall into two theaters of war. Battle of Moscow, and the Tunisian campaign. With that in mind (so that to be not just a complete fantasy), we should present a military unit that has fought, with caveats, on both of the aforementioned fronts.
I used the few sources I have. These are:
1) “Mediterranean 1942-43, British Paratrooper vs Fallschirmjäger” by David Greentree
2) “Hitler’s sky warriors” by Christopher Ailsby
3) “Fallschirmjäger, German Paratroopers from glory to defeat 1939-1945” by I.M Baxter & Roland Volstand
4) And a bit from “Fallschirmjäger Brigade Ramcke in North Africa 1942-1943” by Edgar Alcidi.
The most appropriate option would be this - Fallschirm-Jäger-Regiment 5, from II./Luftlande-Sturm-Regiment 1, (not to be confused with 5th Parachute Division).
These guys were para-dropped in Tunisia to take over certain strategic objects and strengthen the offensive, contributing together with Brigade Ramcke, but suffered huge losses. However - Luftlande-Sturm-Regiment 1, battalions, actively fought on the Russian fronts too.
This makes the perfect medium for this unit to appear in the game as a low BR GE paras in Enlisted lore.

Several variations are possible at this important point. (Depending on whether it would be an Event-type squad or a Premium Squad), but in my deep conviction, the new “trend” is when the squad itself simply gets the opportunity to use certain types of weapons from the common weapon pool (such as a premium APC driver, or exclusive Assault Engies, etc. ), could be an option here.
However, an exclusive version of the weapon, adapted only for this squad, is also possible.
My pick would be the MP-38(L). Experimental MP model, whose “main idea” was lightness and simplified production process. However, the project was discontinued due to the need for aluminum towards the war. There are speculations as to what the letter L stands for. There are opinions that it is “Luftwaffe”, and that the weapon was prepared exclusively for the Fallschirmjägers, due to the need for lighter equipment. However, most likely the letter L is simply the German abbreviation of the word “leicht” (light).
Finally, of course. Being a German main I can be very BS towards such squads. But this time, everyone talking about low BR German paras is right and got the point. I really hope, at least some insight from the developers on this matter.
