I don’t think I like this… I don’t think they should go through walls.
I avoid taking them nowadays since they are a bit cumbersome to use, for fairly little gain - you almost have to hit the enemy directly for them to actually down them, not to mention the risk of hitting some kind of tree or other object on their way, that can also injure, if not down, the shooter…
I’d like a link to these threads, if You have them…
But they still have the same radius as a grenade? I doubt it.
Still no idea if console aim assist is a thing for throwables.
It goes through walls because its intended purpose is to eliminate infantry WITHOUT destroying cover. With the radius as small as it is now, its much harder to kill soldiers inside building when the grenade lands outside of it. However, if it lands in an area with dense cover, it allows it to be cleared out without blasting away all the cover, allowing the player to then move in and take over that position.
From our experience, yes, it does. There are maps on Pacific and Berlin that are extremely easy to grenade at the start of the game. We’ve hit them with frags and we’ve hit them with explosive packs. Both yield approximately the same average of kills 13-18 kills.
Same spot each time.
If I have some time after work this evening, I’ll see if I can find them for you.
Aim assist only effects aiming down sights, so NO it doesn’t effect throwables.
This is stupid.
They should basically make a closed-in building cleared out, but not even bothering to encourage tossing it through a window is too much.
…
Who’s experience again?
13-18 eliminations with a single grenade? I consider myself lucky if I manage to get at least 1 when throwing in a building!
I start to think that console lobbies must be filled to the brim with bots, or other… impaired individuals in certain ways…
Either way, forumites are just a small portion of the playerbase, most don’t even bother going to forums… But yeah, do give sources, I’d like to see You back up Your claims.
Hm.
Well, to confirm or deny, I’d need to ask folks who play both…
