LMG Rework Johnson Rate OF Fire 🔧

Well cant wait to add the IS-3 and T-44-100 and Jagdtiger and no more heavy tanks thats all we need to be honest.

This is the worst suggestion I’ve seen in a while. NOTHING can pen and destroy a jagdtiger that we have in game. No u.s. tank can do it, even is2 can’t do it. Germany already has the best tank in game. They don’t need an even more heavily armored tank. Completely throws balance right out the window with u.s… if u.s. gets some bullshit to deal with it then so does japan. Not even sure if is3 can pen jagdtiger if the is2 cant.

Germany is a country japan is a counrty
ussr, the british empire were just that empire look up the diffference

Well I think the British Empire lasted longer then USSR and the Third Reich they got 400 years

All I want to say is that this discussion is pointless and internet arguments are a waste of time - or in other words I appreciate every last word here, nothing beats salty technical WW2 arguments.

Well its just their logic since they are the first to call for realism when it suits them but in reality none of them is a weapon expert at best they are historians… so you cant make research by copy few books and call it a day…

Honest question, does rate of fire for mid capacity MGs even matter to the slightest? Dispersion is usually so bad that you miss most shots anyways - unless when deploying your bipod of course.

I own some Lathi and Knorr bremse MGs for BR2, and while both are old gold order guns, I really dont see much gameplay difference when on the move - however strangely enough on a bipod I actually prefer the Lathi because it has a much slower rate of fire - which will make me reload less frequently. Johnson MG, BAR, Type what ever Jap MG all have magazines instead of belts - low mag capacity means either the gun has above average dispersion for a MG, like the BAR for example… or well the gun is generally not worth my time - no matter the BR.

The problem is with their quest for ‘‘realism’’ they are stacking everything on the same BR …nerfing things that they have no solution how to balance I mean I dont really care about Johnson that much since US have no LMGs in BR IV but if we gonna put ‘‘realism’’ as a measure just look a ZB and I can go on. In reality many LMGs didnt had standard rate of fire they had rate of fire in between.

I dont know about that, WW2 was initially about hand made guns with each having slightly different attributes, but generally speaking mass produced guns like the MG42 had a set rate of fire of 1200 - with specific weapons having altered springs for specialised roles.

The idea that each and every gun was unique is not fitting for old ww2 guns.

the issue is not the johnson its the mg42 with 75 rounds it has to fight as a ‘peer’

Well this depends on the weapon some weapons have specific others have range between:

Rate of Fire: What Determines it and How to Change It

To this day thats one of the best videos explaining it.

Well this is do to bad game design the game design cant be we will put all there can be possibly added and see what happens but for this we cant blame the only the devs… since this ‘‘realistic’’ fanboys really dont understand realism and balance and that this will aways be game and weapons must be subject to balance first and second full realism as much is possible since for many weapons they dont operate how they would operate in real life.

no full realism is possible if the weapon is at the correct br for its stats
br have not and cannot have anything to do with the year they were made
or the garand would be br2

Well go explain it to them before we move Tiger I to BR III and KV-1 to BR I.

Yeah I know of Chauchat but my point still persists that , I can spam most semi-autos faster than Chauchat and that “200” RPM LMG

I also received shooting training here.(With AK)
