Dude, i just make this for you.
In your video you are shooting to many shoots as i told you. Try to burst instead as here i do. And in the end you will see standing has more recoild than crouch and that more than laying

Less recoil in LMG gun would means extremely boring game when you expert it

At the distance you were shooting, I would be more effective just firing a continuous burst of SMGs. Having a machine gun so that you can’t even lie down to be able to relatively accurately fire 3-5 bullets at a time doesn’t make sense.
Why would I need a machine gunner to do these clicks? At the range you often need 2 counter to drop a soldier and 1 more to finish it off, at your speed you won’t kill a squad. SMG looks so much better than that kind of firing.

??? I am shooting at last targert mostly video (maybe you just saw the first shoots where i did a continuous burst for 5 seconds. Even if that target a SMG wouldd take 3 burst to kill at least, with LMG 1 burst is enough per each. But in last target SMG you would simply do nothing with SMG while with LMG you would kill all group.

The furthest target is close enough that I hit all the bullets from the SMG without letting go of my finger from the trigger. These one-shot shots are slow enough for me to kill such a machine gunner with a continuous burst and a couple more soldiers in his squad, then I switch to the second man with the SMG and kill the others. Machine guns are just unnecessary then, with the SMG I will suppress better.

For me it doesn’t seem that bad standing or kneeling. In prone it is the same as before as far as I can tell.

On the run it is terrible, but to be honest it was pretty terrible in the past except at point blank range (at least in my experience) and I don’t generally use it that way. I like SMGs up close, and I think that is how the game intends close combat to go weapon wise.

As far as support goes LMG is still a pretty good support weapon at range, especially in prone position. And since prone is now protected from the worst effects of bombs, prone support with an LMG is much more deadly IMO.

It was a warranted nerf in my opinion.

However, I kind of wish they left the low ammo count variants as is so they could be used like automatic rifles.

For example the BAR has a 20 round mag and just doesn’t have the same sort of killing potential as a mg34 or 42 but still suffers same inaccuracy debuff when not bipodded.

I feel like that any lmgs under 25 rounds could represent a more mobile assault style and should be excluded from the on the move debuff to accuracy.

When I aim with the LMG, the random scatter is on. When with the SMG, it’s up to me.
I’m against random dispersion and nonsense, when lying down the recoil is not less.
There are planes and tanks in the game, the player is always OP relative to the infantry, and you can not do otherwise. But with players on tanks and planes almost always at the top of the team, people keep arguing about the strength of infantry weapons and twisting their stats.
You probably want to say that I play poorly, but I have played several dozen games in a row the best on my team, and on the opposing team. I don’t doubt what I’m saying.

just lean to use LMG and stop of cry as I enjoy SMG, LMG and every single weapon, there is no weapon i talk bad about in this game as all of them has their good and bad things

Mate, why don’t you suggest then that those who wanted this nerf don’t cry?
I note that you yourself said that the MG42 is the hardest to control, yet these same people said that it has no recoil.
I’m only in favor of having the issues addressed and in the right order. I don’t get mad if I get killed with one bullet because I could always do it first, but the balance of the last few months for the defense sides in Normandy is spamming mortars, planes and tanks from the Allies.
A friend of mine who was watching me play asked: how do you even know what’s going on when the enemy team was just throwing missiles and shells at a point without a break, while their infantry was sitting on it.
This is what gameplay looks like. Arguing about OP infantry weapons when it has minimal impact on the game than endless explosions.

Automatic rifle, and like M2 both are horrible full-auto just like irl.

Quite irrelevant as the argument was “Used in not intended way” and the hipfiring etc was part of training / training manual in wehrmacht.

Well one could argue running around with engineer whos carrying 10 sets of sandbag walls,
few AA & AT guns, barbed wire, tank obstacles and radio ? Would require considerable amount of strenght so I suppose sometimes the gameplay > IRL.

Probably because this is game rather than IRL simulator.
And for some odd reason Im relatively sure none Hans or Franz gave up theyr life during fierce firefight because due to some enlisted forumers they werent allowed to use theyr MG without bipod during cqc combat.

So theres no suppressive fire or very least effect for it.

Sigh Did I said they shouldnt or were not allowed to? I just said that the German Command suggested hip-fire in CQC.

The BAR in semi should use the same mechanics as the Garand. It is silly to subject it to the same LMG rules when firing in semi.

I think if you deploy the MG the recoil should be reduced even further than it is now, and I also think that giving you points for “suppressive fire” by getting rounds within a certain distance of enemies would be nice.
