Okay so …been messing with LMGs for awhile, i had a recent situation where a guy was about 30 to 55-ish meters away from me and i was tapping my MG34 trying to kill him …while crouching.
Basically, most of the bullets went exactly where they weren’t supposed to. The bullets literally flew over the player’s head, but the sights were on the enemy player.
Sure, LMGs weren’t really intended for a bullseye accuracy and their man focus was firepower. But i doubt they’re that inaccurate irl.
So, here’s my suggestion.
The shot dispersion is too much, i can shoot a guy at a mid range and he has about two to three seconds to hit me with a boltie or any other gun and hit me right away. Not a good trade off, im way off better with an SMG or a semi auto gun.
So …here’s what im suggesting.
Add suppression. As one of the main goals of LMGs is to suppress the enemy if the bullets have way less chance of hitting due to the dispersion at least make it that the enemy has an effect of suppression.
Bullets wheezing by sounds, slight screen shaking but not too much, just enough to make sights wobble a bit for a few seconds
This gives an LMG soldier a little bit more of a purpose. Keep the ridiculous (in my opinion) shot dispersion so the gun is not used like it used to be but give it the suppression effect on the enemy so the aiming is slightly more difficult and more wobbly.
