Lightning fighters are not helpful to the team. It prevents allies’ Thunderbolt fighters from appearing while failing to kill the enemy. Lightning must disappear. It is a weapon that helps the enemy so much, not our allies.

you mean fixing the bug that make P-38 sometimes in the wrong class right? not removing the P-38 from the game itself

From what I understand, you complain about P-38 blocking P-47 from spawning, as well for incompetence of pilots flying P-38 that do poorly as CAS.
You must be very new to this game, especially if it’s your first post, so don’t expect ever that anything will be removed (weapon / vehicle) from the game if it’s already in campaign progress, look at Jumbo in Normandy, many people want to replace it for something else for months.
Back to P-38, specifically G-1 variant as this one is causing the problem, in game it is fighter, but in battle it somehow takes slot of attacker thus blocking all attacker aircrafts for Allies side (including A-20).
We don’t really know if it’s a bug (not confirmed) or intended (very weird if is), we also reported this many times that P-38 G-1 takes slot of attackers (P-38 J-15 is correctly fighter). Also unfortunately G-1 is the very first aircraft for Allies making it the most common to use by new players that don’t know where to shoot to get kills, which isn’t a problem with aircraft itself but skill of players, I can assure you that P-38 can be very deadly for ground troops.
Fixing this bug with wrong class of aircraft would fix all the problems with CAS for Allies in Normandy, and yes P-47 is way better at doing CAS.

The P-38 G has been bugged for the longest time, making it take the attacker slot. the P-38 J 15 is the best fighter in Normandy, and takes the fighter slot as intended.
