A good suggestion though Id like to see the Allies get a tech tree Lewis gun first.

You know, the nations who actually invented (USA) and used the Lewis gun? (UK-Commonwealth)

USA / UK doesn’t need another MG with 100 rounds but germans need one. Thats why I suggested it for them and not for the USA / UK

NOPE dutch used ONLY 97 shot drum!
m.20 dutsch used als mg102(h) in german army
7,92x57mm
550-600s/min

a variant in 6,5mm was to used as 6,5mm mg 100(h)

When I said Lewis gun I meant the one currently wrongly in the Soviet tree as a premium.

USA-UK needs more variety for LMGs.
At the moment it is literally
Low BR = Bren gun
Higher BR = BAR. Thats it.

Adding the lewis gun at BR III and lowering the M1918BAR (first one) to BR II would mean players have an option for a British OR American gun at both BRs.
We would also get a much needed alternative to top mounted magazines or BAR sights.

I am not against your idea but it would be quite the troll to give Soviets a Lewis gun, the Germans a Lewis gun but not the Allies who actually used them.

US could definitely get a 47 round Lewis gun, would be nice addition to BR3.

really? M1941 Johnson MG is better than bar

Sorry I just meant the whole of BR III is BARs. Thats it.

Ive only tried the Johnson MG in test ground, didnt like it at all.

I think they should get the 47 round one around BRIII or IV, so they have something that isn’t just a BAR.

While I think the allies should get a tech tree Lewis gun first, I do think this would be a nice gold order equivalent of the Bren 100

but not right
mg 100h is 6,5mm variant
mg 102h is 7,92 version .

dutch and then germans both had only 97 shots, never any 47 shot drum!

There’s 47 round variants of the Lewis Gun. I believe that was actually the standard magazine size.

TBH the Germans have far more options for LMGs than the Allies do. The Allies need more machine guns.
