In 4.5 days, will they be able to refine this schedule, the number of items needed to complete the stage unlock, the experience consumption table, the br table, and the selling price table?
I really liked this tech tree until I saw this, this makes me worried that we are just going to have the same problem that we had with the last tech tree but this time with battle ratings. Hopefully the Devs will keep the number of battle ratings low because that seems to be what players want.
Other than that this tech tree still is lacking enough folders, the Soviet and American tech trees only have one folder each and the Japanese dont have a single folder. Not to mention the fighters and attackers are still on the same line in the tech tree when they should really be separate.
Overall this is positive and I do appreciate it but it still lacks a lot of the core aspects of what the players were asking for.
It looks great. Let’s see in game how it will works.
Any info about the conversion rate of the new money implemented in game?
Yeippie! can’t wait for some made up matching right here.
Battle Rating is flawed to say the least.
First of, it’s just someones take on it, then adjusted according to feedback, which can be flawed at best, since skill is only what matters on weapons good or not, Weapons should be modelled and stats according to how was in reality and then in comparison to other weapons in-game, not adjusted after how useless most are at weapons they don’t have skill for.
Second this is the start of wreaking historical immersion, instead of matching per year and campaign, you get everything in a shit soup of mess.
It was fighting with what weapons/vehicles were avaiable in that campaign against what they faced right there then that was the it about this game.
Queues weren’t that bad, i don’t mind a few bots here and there to fill up, sometimes it’s ridiculously bad with bots certain hours though I admit…
The historical aspect with what were and when was what dragged me into this game.
I have zero interest in fighting against and with based on theoretical rating based on performance, zero interest.
Balance is not much of concern, the fun thing was the different nations good in different aspect. That was the creative fun aspect.
(before PZ.IV F2) Moscow campaign was much more interesting as playing Germans having to face T-34 and T-50 and have no Tank able to square with it was fun. You’d have to be creative and get close and put explosives, plant mines, get AT Gun up wait in ambush etc.
Ties in with historical aspect too, knowing the germans 41 didn’t have a counter to T-34 aswell, having to face their plroblem aswell, that is good immersion and fun gameplay.
Ther is no historical aspect maching shit on random interpretation of stats someone bs about, and secondly there is no fun in too much balance.
Having everything too much about gameplay balance ruins both the fun and creative side of gaming, takes away from faction flavor, and ruins the historical immersion.
Like WarThuner I love, It’s beatiful, mechanic, gameplay kinda good, but matching on just a cesspool of whatever takes away all fun.
Playing late WW2 tech, feeling the vibe, then just get pizzacar jerked is taking away everything.
early WW2 tech squaring with Cold War and modern and early Cold War it ain’t good nor fun.
Totally removes aspect of what Vehicle were made for and roll.
When all in a cesspool of everything and trying to match them against each other removes the aspect of what vehicles were designed for and their intended opposition.
Why was and is it so hard to just have different campaigns, battles, and come up with better way of upping the player count=?
A shared progression tree was the logical and good way too go, that was unecessary and flawed with separate for each campaing, but having different campaing with their own set of weapons/vehicles and according maps, allowed for much more fun and immersive gameplay.
removes any need for B.R and all that goes with it, what goes where and what, and adjusting and buffin and nerfing, aswell as differentiate gameplay and add flvor.
Also allows for Maps to be tailored to certain years Tech.
AS in a Moscow Map may be one size, but in a eventual Battle of Kursk Map you could go larger maps with more open design, since better tech available with longer reach.
These are the thing you don’t think about.
You just went for easy and already tested tried flawed, uninteresting B.R system from WT.
Tech Trees merged for Nations, different campaing with separate squads and their respective weapons/vehicles. The tech matched on year of service (or intended or possible service).
Maps tied to campaigns and designed after that campaigns tech available.
This what I want and would like to see worked against.
How will I now customize and equip my Squads? who goes where, what nations in what conflict, what uniform on what Map? what vehicle and gear, what map will i be playing, all these questions here answered in one thing, B.R. Just throw everything in there.
A system liek that gives zero immersion and zero attachment to squads, weapons, maps etc
Doesn’t matter and no care.
You will just equip your best perk squads, with best weapons you currently unlocked.
I see that all will lead to is endgame meta gameplay, like every other game out there, since devs in all games too lazy and uncreative, just adhering to the stupid masses and money aspect, only working for raising players in accordance to money earned.
That devs can’t see it, and many players fail to grasp it is to me sad.
From now on, Game will be about, progression, progression, grind grind, To get just best you could have for nations. comes with monthly ajustment to B.R based on complains from the loudest and according to siphon data that really don’t paint a good picture
It will be WT with Infantry
same as WT fail to build, awesome tank models, decent graphics and mechanics but complete horseshit matching ruining all kind of immersion and feel for game.
so pissed you go down this road…
I liked this Game much.
What the Game needed was one nationwide tech Tree to remove the separate grind of repetition.
Better AI bots, keep refining and upgrading game in terms of graphics, AI, gun design etc
And try attract more players to game by making more interesting game.
in other words build upon and improve, make better game to attract more players, not opt to try salvage by restricting to current playerbase and forcing them into a cesspool to try up the numbers in queues.
I still think there is hope for game and that somehow you will make this game stay and continue to be interesting for a player like me too.
Who care for historical immersion AND gameplay, not sacrificing any one for the other.
GL and to hoping somehow in the end it will turn out good
it’s an exclusive weapon with full access
I have also fallen into this trap)
It will be exclusive to all who unlock and buy it in time, not only Stalingrad full access owners.
I know I’m in the minority here but I like the medics replacing the assaulter I squads, I definitely think that the medics are worse but I think that is a bad thing. This prevents people from stacking 3 assaulter squads early in the game not to mention medics are more useful to your team and for the rest of the game than the assaulter I solders.
There are no Fighter Pilot III’s on the table, but we have them in game. What is going to happen to them?
Also, we could use clarification on what pilots/tankers will be able to use what planes/tanks.
I like many of these changes - but the coloration of the background/selection ‘button’ (i.e. in the squad upgrades section, the ‘buttons’ that you click to select an upgrade) are still too similar to the background; a solid field (similar to the old style) is much easier to discern which buttons are left to get and which are not. The faded coloration is not enough for me to be able to readily tell which upgrades I have left and which are done.
agree with this assessment 100%. I joined this game for the historical aspects to get an idea of what certain points in WW2 would have been fought like.
If I want ahistorical silliness, I can always go play War Thunder and watch WW2 tanks fight modern atgm’s. Or worse, go play that other competitors game, ‘World of stupidity…’
Doubt it, they released several news about the upcoming major update on previous Fridays.
So I think it is expected to get this news on Friday.
And this news basically just a modification of the old news, it is just some old stuff. I think the news dev is referring to is about some new stuff.
Idk, I was just judging according ro alpha tester’s reaction.
But it could meant something different.
I will always welcome more devblogs.
Wait a minute. VG 1 5 in rank 2? Panzaerfaust rank 3?
Did I read that correctly?
It isn’t related to balance in any way. It’s just progression. So it’s basically non-relevant for any veteran player.
Btw. Your profil pic is extremely scary.
not sure i completely agree with the lay out
it seems germans using m1 garands is two tiers above the k98k so it seems that more realistic matches are going to be few and far
hey Keofox thanks for the update information about the patch looks great but what about match servers are we gonna have the same problems 1 vs 5 or 3 vs 10 player and am little tired about that
I have several points of feedback:
-
Medics should be their own thing, not just worse assaulters with less flexible squad make up, it’s like replacing riflemen I with an engineer squad/type than can only build 1 ammo box each. They shouldn’t replace assaulter I. On top of that they should have their own advanced versions, like most other classes.
-
The kriegsmodell being in the folder of the normal k98k doesn’t make sense, nor does it really make sense why it’s after the g33/40 considering how the kriegsmodell is worse than both, at least the k98k. It doesn’t have bayonet capability, it shoots slower and reloads slower. There’s no reason why you’d research it once you have the k98k. It would make more sense that it would be an alternative first weapon, or the g33/40 could have it in a folder, where the research cost, if any, would be less than the k98k, giving you some reason to unlock it at all. Or you could reverse it, having the kriegsmodell being the starter and having the g33/40 in its folder.
-
Would be very nice to have a non-sniper g98 version. Like with most other guns with a sniper version.
-
It would make more sense, in my opinion, that the m2a4 should be the main unlock while both the m3 and its flamethrower variants should be in its folder, making it possible for folders to be larger than 2, like in war thunder. And maybe do some fiddling with the m5 folder as well. Also feels like the daimler should be connected to the m8 in some fashion, or maybe you’re saving something for the staghound.
-
And finally it would make more sense for the tt-33 to be in the tier below the c96, since the 1911 is in that tier and it’s arguably better than the tt. The luger would also make more sense to put there.
Will we be able to choose the nationality of soldier la that we purchase for multi-national factions, such as GER which merges with italy and USA which merges with UK?
Fearmongering? I think not. Japan has Jackshit to utilize if the BR system goes off gear related to unlocks. Like I said in a previous post, if a Beaufighter, Grant, or Sherman II shows up they will devastate Axis. As is now my Zero wouldn’t dent the Beaufighter. What reason do new and existing Japanese players have if nothing will be added till who knows when? It could be many months before its addressed.
