They will be upgraded to 5 stars automatically yes

But it seems that if you upgrade them now, they will already be leveled up after the merge, whereas if the merge has to upgrade them to 5 for you, you’ll have to earn that last level on all of them.
Pay 5-7k silver (per soldier) or play 1-2 game with those soldiers to level them up later
I don’t know if You saw how abyssmaly low the silvers gain is, i would urge him to just wait for merge. Looking at silvers price for gold he would save so much time and money
Also reset their perks now for free, i don’t trust they will give us one-time free reset.
I’d have to disagree there. I think it will be mandatory because right now we can easily achieve perk combinations which will no longer be possible after the merge.

What about resetting perks? Especially for the non premium squads where there are so many random perks after using them.
