People can have many things they like or dislike. That is fine.
There are many, many games with bunny hopping.
I can only speak for myself. If I wanted bunny hopping I would go play those games. But I stopped playing bunny hopping games many years ago. So from my point of view removing bunny hopping is a must if a game is to be an authentic WW2 game.
I have spent money on Enlisted because I am looking for something other than bunny hopping. I want an authentic WW2 game, it does not have to be fully realistic, it does not have to be a simulator. But it can be authentic.
I will continue to spend money on Enlisted if it takes an authentic approach to WW2 gaming.
Once Enlisted turns out to be just like Call of Duty, Counterstrike, Battlefield etc. then I will stop playing the game and stop spending money on it.
As far a movement goes I find the soldiers in Enlisted still move far too fast, turn too fast (they can turn a full 360 degree turn in miliseconds, that is not authentic and just plain silly) for Enlisted to be seen as authentic.
I would like the soldiers in Enlisted to move and hold their weapons more like WW2 soldiers.
The problem with the current more Call of Duty style movement in Enlisted is that it supports running and gunning and punishes more tactical play.
For the past week I have been testing a more cautious, authentic movement approach in Enlisted and it does not pay off. Instead the running and gunning is rewarded.
I suggest making the soldiers in Enlisted move less like olympic athletes in sports gear and more like authentic conscripted/enlisted soldiers hampered by the limitations of carrying weapons, ammunition and full gear. Let them hold their weapons when they are moving like WW2 soldiers did, that would make running and gunning less succesfull.
If that is done then the AI soldiers too will perform better, because the AI soldiers currently cannot cope with human controlled movement in Enlisted, they cannot match it.
There are many games where running and gunning and brainlessly rushing the objective are rewarded. I stopped playing those sort of games a long time ago. If Enlisted turns out to be just like those games then I will not spend any more money on it.
Enlisted can be different compared to those other games.
The current level of AI soldiers is really, really bad. If a game is to have AI squads than they have to act like soldiers. Otherwise they are just useless bots that are cannon fodder for the human runners and gunners. That is exactly what I see in Enlisted now.
The AI is too slow in moving, turning and reacting and as a result too inaccurate to pose a threat to the best of the human runners and gunners if they have a superb internet connection and superb connection to the game. If soldiers, including the human controlled ones, would move, turn, hold their weapons (especially WHILE moving) and fire more authentically (so less accurate after moving X seconds/minutes) then the AI soldiers likely will perform better as well because they can then cope better with the humans.
The past week I have held back in the game and let my AI soldiers do the fighting. To observe them and to test how effective they are. And no matter what skill level they have (1 to 5 stars) and no matter what weapon they have the end result is the same: at best they shoot down 1-3 enemy soldiers. Often times none at all.
That is bad, really bad. I am fairly sure that the AI soldiers would become more effective if the movement, turning, weapon handling, accuracy (so less accurate after moving x seconds/minutes straight) is brought to more authentic levels.
As a test for the developers the best thing to start looking at is when a human with a knife enters a room with say 4 AI soldiers. The AI soldiers simply cannot cope with the speed with which the human moves, turns and attacks with his knife. The human beats the AI every time in situations like these.
If four AI soldiers can never beat one human with a knife in a room, then the game has failed to produce an authentic WW2 experience.
The AI soldiers and AI squads are the main unique selling point of Enlisted. Make them worth having for the human player and not just be cannon fodder for the human runners and gunners.
