Let vehicles and tanks run over nme again

Been ages and I think we are on the whole all grown up enough to get this functionality back, when a tank goes over you, you should die, not get pushed to side. I think jeeps still roadkill, but tanks should squash and kill as well.

The Rhino Stuart on Normandy (and potentially coming soon to Pacific?) can run people over. So if you like running people over, maybe play those

fun fact: tf2 might be getting a major update soon

No, they removed the ability for even both of those tanks to do that. Rip to my best boy the Stuart Rhino and the good times I had with him.

Tanks used to have the ability to damage people by running them over but was probably removed due to inexperienced drivers (looking at you Normandy Puma drivers) but would be nice to have it added back at least against enemy infantry, I mean it’s a 20+ ton vehicle, not a scooter even though that can even take your ankles out.

To a certain extent I can agree. However, it would need to be a hit on the front, moving fast enough, or actually a knocked player getting run over.
I bring this up because there are lots of us that climb on top of tanks to attack them, or even instances where I was crawling through a trench and the tank went over the top without touching me.

If people are worried about vehicles running over friendly units, the remedy (balance) could be to have normal damage to enemy units, and a 50% damage reduction to friendly units.

This would apply to both sides, so each team would experience the same pros/cons.

As a driver, you would have the advantage of NOW being able to use the vehicle to run over players who are trying to rush the tank (and groups of A.I. huddled together). While at the same time… ALL players would need to be more spacially aware of “getting hit”…

If you are infantry, and are not paying attention to a friendly tank that doesn’t appear to be looking in the direction that it’s driving… it’s your own responsibility to stay out of the way and give it space (as you would in real life).

It should be common sense.

(and of course, you’'re going to have idiots in the mix who are simply bad drivers/vehicle operators)
(which is simply a case of “tough luck”, for if happen to be ran over)
(better pay attention next time, and use your ears to hear the ENGINE of the tank approaching)

the other day I was with my guy trying to kill a tank with the AT gun, and the view was moving and shaking.
Turns out, it was OUR STUPID TANK that was trying to run over me.
Fk him.
I think too many people complained. Not so many play in a team.

Unless its one of the wheeled tanks that’s moving fast, or if the infantry is prone/ knocked, I really don’t think damage should be done.
