In the “Leadstorm” event, players have the opportunity to throw weapons like the tomahawk at enemies. Why not introduce this into regular battles as well?!
And also the possibility to take the thrown weapons from the ground / from the dead enemies and use them again
For those who say “unrealistic,” may I introduce? This is George E. “Skeeter” Vaughan (Grey Otter), part of the U.S. Moccasin Rangers? He killed a guard during WW2 by throwing his kife.
Quote: "…A sergeant and commander of the patrol, Vaughan was asked by one of his men if he could take out the sentry by throwing his bayonet/knife. As a boy, Vaughan had lived on Indian reservations and was taught all about weapons by his grandfather, old Limping Bear, a Cherokee born in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Skeeter’s training included throwing knives and tomahawks, and he had put that training to use prior to the war hurling hawks and 16-inch knives made from old bayonets in performances at rodeos and in “Doc Willetson’s Big Medicine Show” that toured the West.
Skeeter crawled from the timber as far as he dared and stood, hoping he would not be spotted. The sentry’s back was still toward him. Skeeter threw the knife with a high trajectory, aiming about three feet above the sentry’s head. The knife turned silently over and over in its long, downhill pinwheel flight. The sentry dropped without a peep face down in the snow.
Considering the distance thrown—later measured at 87 feet—it was probably the longest successful throw in battle in the annals of knife throwing."
Do you know George E. “Skeeter” Vaughan (Grey Otter), part of the U.S. Moccasin Rangers? He killed a guard during WW2 by throwing his kife.

Yeah but you have to make it either inacurate, short ranged or a slow rate of fire or split the difference between the three, as a silent ranged weapon that’s even more so than the silenced weapons we have. Also it would be br1 so a lot of possible noob clubbing.
do people not realize that throwing knives or axes takes a lot of skill and practice? That’s not something a random WW2 soldier is going to be able to do
If every other soldier could do that, this guy wouldn’t be so exceptional.
And you literally wouldn’t know his name. (Which you didn’t until you googled it, since you needed to come up with some argument to push that nonsense into the game.)
You’re trying to justify the nonsense by pointing exceptional individuals in a war that millions participated in.
There just isn’t a single good reason to add such ridiculous thing that would feel totally out of place to the base game.
Go play some knife throwing simulator or customs if you care so much about that crap.
Thats why you writing bullshit and you don’t care about writing bullshit.
OFC you don’t care about facts - that this was possible and happened during WW2 - rarely but it happens. If facts doesn’t care you - your problem.
Here is that bullshit example of yours. Sry to dissapoint you - I have a book where I found that information few weeks ago by reading a book (I am that kind of generation reading real books, not using every time a tablet for that). But it’s easier to copy these things quick from Dr. Google where everyone else can find it instead of photograph pages from a buug with smartphone and uploading them here.
I can also show you my great-grandfather’s diary, where he wrote a similar entry about a soldier from his regiment killing an enemy soldier with a hammer throw. Or did you think I had to “google” the fact that I’ve known for years (by reading that diary)?!
Next bullshit of yours. xD You are just mad because I proofed that this isn’t just CoD or BF stuff.
I know that fact. Throwing knives / axes and shooting with bow is one of my hobbies for years.
But to be honest with you: most players (take a look on the actual event) miss with the pistol and the axe - never got killed during the event by a guy throwing the axe / pistol on me and only saw 1-2 guys in multiple battles getting such a kill.
And most players would miss in regular battles, too.
In few regular battles I round out of ammo (all remaining soldiers in my squad are dead), no ammo box and no rifle on the ground to pick it up but I have to engage an enemy. At least I would try to kill him in these situation while throwing an axe (axe charge isn’t every time best idea).
if I miss: I am dead
if I charge into him like a braindead zombie: I am dead, too ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Sure why not right now Axes, knives and that Tomahawk are inferior to Sword/Club since they don’t provide sprint boost so at least it could give some utility at close range
Give me the bows too
