Let the rewards of players who persist in fighting increase as the number of deserters increases

  • Reward players who persist in fighting:

For every additional deserter added to the team during settlement, the player who persists in the battle will receive a 10% increase in earnings (up to a maximum increase of 90%, as there can only be a maximum of 9 deserters in the team).
This multiplier is not too high, because if there are 9 deserters in your team, you will definitely lose the game within a few minutes. :rofl:

This will encourage players who persist in fighting to try to win, while also stopping the problem of “serial deserters”, as many players will change their minds due to more rewards.

  • The problems brought by the punishment of deserters:

Overly harsh ‘deserter punishment’ can lead to some problems: those who stay for fear of punishment may not necessarily want to win.Only players who want to win will get hurt, just like now.

So I have some other suggestions:

  1. Let the replacement player’s AI squad to have more soldiers (9 or 7). This way, they are at least more suitable for helping players defend and occupy areas.

  2. Removing the filter in the gray area, the countdown is already sufficient to protect players and should not give campers any additional advantage.

  3. Divide the gray area into two parts, and the inner part will not allow players to stay for a long time.

  • Add special nickname decoration:

”Turning defeat into victory "nickname decoration: Winning by having 3 or more deserters in the team (excluding team members).

It will have different levels like nickname decorations for check-in rewards. Lv1:100 games; Lv.2: 200 games; Lv3: 300 games… and so on.

This would be a great honor, as it would make your teammates feel at ease seeing you.

But if we are talking abt players who completed the Game? Or just sticking on one faction???

My only question is what if there are no deserters? I’ve had some matches where no one has deserted. Do we get no bonuses? I wish there was still a flat rate bonus (20% or 50%) just for sticking to the end.

IMOP nothing is going to stop deserters, however, giving those who stick around and endure the butt pounding should be rewarded. Incentives will keep more people from deserting then punishment, but everyone seems to think punishment is the only option. Well, punish away, and continue to watch desertion levels stay the same. :rofl:

Almost every game I see deserters who are battle hero’s and obviously quit just before the match ended, why? Why would they endure the entire match and quit just before it ends? Well, they got silver for playing, but quit to avoid having the loss on their w/l%, so get rid of the w/l% so there is NO reason to quit when you’ve endured most of the game. You’re not going to stop those who quit the first sign of things not going their way with any form of punishment short of suspension or banning, but as I have said multiple times, when we’re told that their aren’t enough players to begin with, this punishment only hurts the game. So, those who want to punish, power on, but it ain’t changing anything. :wink:

Well could work but i think that smt like that wouldnt be able to stop most deserters (win rate grinders or rage quitters)

I think that people who don’t desert, regardless of a win or loss, should be compensated accordingly.

People who desert a match should absolutely suffer for their next match, XP/Silver wise.

We shouldn’t allow such cowardy to continue.

That said, it all depends on the proposed new peferred map system, to be fair.

Yeah, especially since DF attaches factions to wins and losses in their special events where you’re not even playing with your squads. I have at least 35 or 40 additional losses added to my allies that were never played, they were from the last big event they had a couple months back, so they dropped almost 2% points from the win loss %. In reality it’s a video game and doesn’t mean much, but it is a psychological thing for people, so just remove it.

Why reset? It calculates the total number of events.Just like you won’t lose your nickname decoration just because you stop checking in.

Many players like to wear nickname decorations that can prove they are old players, which is normal.

That I agree with. Those of us who stick through a match should be rewarded.

This I disagree with. The biggest thing with penalties is that they don’t discriminate. Like if I had to desert because the pest controller came early, or if my internet cut out. All it does is register a user left and bang punishes you unnecessarily. Hell, WOT’s punishments could result in an instant ban for leaving one battle.

I don’t want Enlisted to turn out like that. Hell Let Loose is more immersive and realistic, and it doesn’t punish for desertion. It only rewards 50% for staying to the end.

I get you. I guess it gets way more difficult to referee that.

Maybe more restrictive AFK penalties, more restrictive grey-zone penalties?

Usually, a network issue/game crash will give you the option to rejoin the match, if you’re quick enough. A deliberate quit will not give you the option.

My experience is a lot of games don’t register it, at least reliably.

I’m an advocate of keeping the greyzone, but if you shoot from there then your shots don’t count. A little like the spawn protection thing.

It would stop greyzone camping in an instant.

I speak from a previous GFX card failure experience, that it does register a lot, if you’re quick enough to restart your PC.

It usually lasts until the end of the match, so I can’t see how the devs could extend it really.

Um… what I propose is a nickname decoration like this flame, which is like an achievement that everyone can see. I quite like this flame,it proves that I achieved good results in the first ranking competition.
