At the moment it is possible to “try out” the next unlockable squad in the progressions system. This is a nice feature that gives players a chance to try out their next unlock early. However, this feature is only limited to the next squad unlock and players can’t try out squads further in the progression system.
I think it would be nice if players gained access to try out all future squads in the progression system. This would be nice for newer players to easily test a variety of weapons from each campaign/faction to see which one they would like to start playing. This would also be convenient for players to simply sample interesting or not very often used weapons in campaigns they don’t play. Yes this is all possible in the editor, but the editor can be confusing if you are not familiar with it, especially for new players who just want to see what the guns feel like.
