(Note: I can’t fit all pics of said matches because that would be redundant)
We notice that most console players perform in a somewhat, more casual playstyle, they usually hang back and don’t defend or attack at all. I dislike this current playstyle, not helping your team out is extremely toxic (that applies to all players who perform terribly, regardless of the platform they use).
The thing is I don’t want this experience, my intent is not to divide this community, but rather minimize my frustrations. There are great console players out there, however most of its community is not fit to fight against PC players. I’ve been asking for this feature for a year now, hopefully you’ll consider it soon.
They will never do that, sadly.
Pc players are majority like in every f2p game.
Without crossplay disable option, we still have matches filled with bots. Maybe pc player will not effected by disable but console player will hardly find any match with real players.
reminder that the reason why they didn’t give the option was “because the queues will be too long” despite crossplay being off in CBT because consoleplayers got fucking curb stomped so hard that they cried
Console players already have the option to disable crossplay don`t they? In any case bot matches aren´t even that bad since they give you effortless XP. Depending on wich side the bots are of course.
As a console player I agree PC should be able to turn cross play off since a decent bit of console players are pretty bad in regular terms of experience in a FPS. A actual tutorial might help that a little bit instead of the one we have now but I digress, even as a console player (Xbox so I can’t speak for playstation) with crossplay turned off every now and then I can say it’s popularish at least on that console with enough to fill lobbies halfway to full majority of the time.
I personally play on Xbox, and I will tell you that the reason console players generally hang back a bit is that we literally cannot compete against mouse and keyboard in close quarters. M&K has the advantage in accuracy, speed, and number of buttons for controls.
The thing is, support roles can be carried out by console players, but there are almost no tutorials that cover that. They have to learn as they go. Keeping enemies spotted usually helps though. Field guns, AA, mortars, etc are all viable and valuable roles.
I’m not opposed to PC getting the option to disable crossplay.
I’ll honestly take it a step further and say that console and PC lobbies need to be split and receive separate balancing. As I said, PC tends to have certain advantages and therefore have different issues than consoles. Giving blanket balancing updates without considering advantages and disadvantages between the two simply isn’t working well.
For example: a popular controversy is that PC players think the Soviet Smgs are so much stronger than the german MP40. For PC this may be true, given the amount of control and speed you guys have.
HOWEVER, on console, the MP40 usually comes out on top in every situation except point blank.
This is a prime example where separate balancing would be useful.
You guys (console players) have LOBBIES??? you’re not talking about custom match lobbies are you?
That’s a very interesting point explains a lot why some find the ppsh41 inadequate, if it’s because it’s handled differently on console… At least now I understand why. Didn’t make any sense to me before as it’s easily one of the most powerful smg out there.
No, there are many PC players who are plagued by latency, PPsh at 50ms is a beast, PPsh at 250ms is a useless toy gun, and we have players who live outside of Europe and North America.
another interesting point… I’m one of the lucky guys with internet speed around 15-20 ms, and let me tell you… all bullets register. It’s indeed a beast.
I’m just glad I now get to understand why some ppl say it isn’t. Makes much more sense now knowing this.
