I LOATHE Conquest, in every game. It’s just pointless, running around the map getting fragged from everywhere, no one ever defending. No battlelines, no strategy. Just an endless, pointless circlejerk. The other gamemodes are fun and engaging, but when I load in to game, I’m tossed against my will in a waste of my time and this is VERY quickly erroding all the fun I’m having in the game.

Some game modes are either more balanced than others, or designed better. All this will do is cause the majority to flock to one side, while the other gets ignored.
I was acually just about to post this, in the same way we can choose between squads and lone fighters, we should be able to choose between Conquest, Invasion, or Assault.

So it’s better that I don’t play at all? How is that good for the devs? Maybe the inherent flaws of the modes or the maps should be adressed, if people want this game to have any longevity. As it stands, I’m not gonna drop a dime in this game if I ain’t having fun. And if most of my time is jumping in and out of games to try a find a map to play, chances of me having fun droip dramatically.

Yes. If you only have fun playing one specific thing, perhaps an online game isn’t for you. Try single player games.
The maps themselves need addressing, which is slowly being done over hotfixes and patches, it will take time.

Ok this is kind of a silly answer, most other multiplayer shooters allow you to choose the specific game mode you want to play, whether that be through random match making like in this game or choosing the server you want, telling someone they should go play a singleplayer game if they want to choose the game mode they want is just silly.

Do show me a game in the same genre and style as Enlisted that has that choice available and doesn’t have multiple dead game modes while only one or two is popular.
BF1 is in the same genre and style with those options, several game modes are dead, only a few are popular.
BF5 is the same, few are popular, several are dead.

Yes and the reason those game modes are dead is because no one wants to play them, why should we force people to play the least popular game modes.

Wrong.
There are people who enjoy those modes, except they can’t play them reliably because children nowadays only think about TDM and aren’t capable of anything else.
Not everything needs to be TDM, not everything needs to be moronic battle royale or a slugfest over K/D.

Yes, giving more player choice is never a bad thing. I can understand not implementing something akin to separate queues for certain maps and gamemodes as we are in a beta state.
But also, no, forcing players to play bad maps and gamemodes they dont enjoy is not going to make the game better.
I am patient as i realize that there is a lot to be done yet with the game. Movement is wacky still, classes still feel unbalanced and without all the potential you could cram in them (engineer comes to mind), game progression is currently tied to P2W mechanics in the case of vehicles and it definitely feels like theyre trying to find a balance in the maps, with some of them being absolutely terrible (looking at you fortified district) yet others have a fantastic mix of elements that make them fun to play in.

In the game Squad, the Living game modes are Invasion, RAAS, and AAS (AAS and RAAS both work similarly to Chainlink in Battlefield 4 except you cant backcap), the Insurgency game mode is dead because it is kinda broken and unbalanced, while armored is dead because its a very niche game mode, and Skirmish (basically TDM) is dead except for when the server population is too small for a proper game mode.
In Battlefield 1, Rush, conquest, and Operations were the popular living game modes, thats because Rush and conquest have always been the best Battlefield game modes and Operations was such a good addition that it couldnt be ignored.
in Rising storm 2 there are only 2 game modes (one is basically chainlink from Battlefield 4 and the other is essentially Rush/Invasion) the most played game mode is Territories because most people thought Territories was the better mode, and dont like getting backcapped in supremacy every 5 seconds.
I could go on but notice how in all 3 examples i dont mention TDM as the most popular game modes, thats because if you have a game mode that is more well designed than the standard conquest (and IMO invasion in this game is the most fun gamemode) then people will play it, people shouldnt be forced to play unpopular game modes just so the minority of players who like it can have a faster que.

Just make a normal queues for thise who dont care and speific queues for people who wanna play Invasion or Conquest only. What is the fucking problem with that?

yeah conquest kinda sucks there sjould be a fast comunication chat and it’s kinda unfair.
It would just be cool to be able to choose the gamemode.
Anyway the game’s only in beta so let’s hope that this problem is fixed because enlisted could be an awesome game !!

ALSO there is this bit of time difference between average conquest match that last 10 mins versus an average invasion or assault (assult) that lasts up to an hour or more often. So if player has any rl obligations whatsoever Enlisted offers option to desert match which punishes you thus leaving only option to keep deserting games at begining, before getting lucky to find conquest which may take minutes or tens of minutes. On the other hand all the people who would love to play for a couple of hours cant seem to get “lucky” to find a non conquest match. How is something that is harming/annoying everyone literally constantly considered a " opinion" or even debated.

I 100% agree with this as does my main Enlisted gaming buddy. We always leave when its conquest because neither of us enjoy it at all so why waste our time. I have quite a few friends who wont play it for the same reason and that you can’t choose seems stupid.
Not being able to choose definitely hurts the player base more than allowing it would in my opinion.
