Very much so.
it is because the united states have overcome all defenses and are charging the HQ it makes sense that germany no longer has defenses at that point and can only resist until the last man
That’s not capturing the point though, you’ve not cleared out hostiles from the HQ, you’ve not captured the building in question. It does. not. make. sense. Be it tactically, or strategically, or realistically.
Actually you get “kills on the point” points even in the proximity of the cap zone. Sure it’s not capping the objective but it’s better than nothing.
I’m aware, but that doesn’t change the point I was trying to make.
it is a game does not have to make totally sense but only a minimum, the developers try to reproduce the battles of the second world war in a virtual scenario that the capture of the points in the game does not make sense for reality ok I agree but for a game it have totally sense
Why does it make sense? The point of capping a point is to push up on a position against a point being defended.
So why should the cap be out in the open, instead of directly adjacent defensible structures?
I don’t see how this benefits gameplay, other than making it easier for invaders, by frustrating defenders with the unrealistic choice of being in an actually good point to defend from, or going out in the open to prevent the capture bar from going to the enemy team.
I’d much rather we see capture points be more realistic, and invaders get more respawns to compensate, than continuing with the present state of things. (it would also, as mentioned earlier, bolster the use of flamethrowers)
hei i didn’t develop the game if you look for all the similar red orchestras like enlisted they use the same system for the control points it makes no sense you are right it works for the game yes
I mean, it “works” about as well as the presently bugged tank damage models. I mean, it’s technically functional, but it’s not ideal for the game by any stretch of the imagination.
but it works for now maybe they will change it maybe not it also depends on us community members, we have to make our voices heard to make this happen
Please stop to say something like that. This is not correct and none should be threated with death.
But yeah. In some instances it get’s nasty but most of the time, it’s important to have a good team.
I still like engineer but the sandbags should be more durable.
Fire should be able to destroy them easily or if the explosion is literally besides it but air strikes should destroy it. Or maybe the sandbags will just fall slowly apart instead of literally going into dust.
You mean, exactly what I’m doing in making this argument, in a thread about map design balance, in the suggestions section, which devs periodically look at?
you should make a topic not post under this
no seriously you should make a topic I doubt the developers will read every comment
I actually like this map and for the record before someone call me Russian main or whatever I am level 0 in the USSR (Berlin campaign) while I am level 11-10 (can’t remember) in Germany…
And pls try be more respectful on the forums…
Making your first post a literal death threat isn’t a good start
Funny enough, I’m German and play in all campaing German so defending mine country xD
But yeah, I would still enjoy it if the cap zone would add some buildings or similar to the zone, so there is an open street battle and close quarter battle.
Its kinda hard to add buildings etc to places in Berlin because the maps are actual places in Berlin…
Btw if you failed to cap the first point. Sorry but you are just a bad player, same with your team , which you deserve to loes. Capping the first point is the easiest thing to do
I think he means, the adjacent buildings should be included as part of the cap point, instead of just the spaces in the open.
I disagree. I feel like the first cap and last cap are often the most intense fighting.
But yeah, is depending on the own skill and team skill and the enemy skill like in all games
