Leaning left to right while in the open is often impossible for controller players and players peeking out from corners comically fast is also irritating to some. A fix to both of these would be to have leaning decrease stamina if only slightly. It would perhaps lead to less abuse of leaning left to right to avoid gunfire like a chimpanzee.
don’t you guys have the crossplay option that can be turned off?
feel like that would be a solution.
beside, as much i would like to see some sort of… making the animation slower or firing with more dispersions / missalignment when leaning, devs already said that they ain’t gonna touch that.
so…
I don’t like that neither,
it’s nor good for gameplay, atmosphere and everything. Your suggestion is quite good too!
I know many console players that combined the key… button to aim with the button to lean. They look really comical in the open and give their position away, but it’s possible.
All they need to do is to make initial lean slower, leaning from one to the other side much slower and also lower your movement speed when learning so you won’t be able to instantly go back to the cover. Right now when you encounter some tryhard game feels like R6 Siege will that corner peeking 24/7.
100%, it needs to be slower. Removing these goofy af cheesy elements will help with the immersion
Many problems here :
- Lean animation is instant its not normal
- Lag compensation make the leaning player more impredictable
- You have no malus on aim and spread while leaning
- You can spam leaning without malus too (on BF1 they nerfed the slide spam)
If only they could listen or maybe can we add the option to play or not with those enhanced bots ?
stamina drain like MGs in stalingrad + dispersion penalty will create a realistic effect and proper balancing.
it seems like the DF HQ never had a single day of gym in their lifes and expect humans to be able to lean 10 times in a row without getting issues.
Most good console players play with crossplay off. You’re playing with 8 year olds who cant play anything but enlisted because it’s free and doesn’t require online subscription
Lean spam. It is a Japanese tradition…
In my personal opinion, people who do that tend to be Asian users, especially Japanese users. I think it is because of the popularity of this silly parrot-like move among Japanese airsoft gun enthusiasts. Or maybe it’s the influence of Rainbow 6… Anyway I don’t like it either because it ruins the atmosphere.
I agree with the OP, leaning is a necessary feature but it needs to be done in a way that it is not spammy.
that looks so goofy
Agreed.
I play in a group and we’re all pretty good at games overall, usually computer players are just noticeably better not performing gymnastics compared to us me and my friends have all noticed.
Crossplay being off is a solution but that avoids the point of spam leaning being annoying even to computer players
Looks like those car salesman Inflatables
as much as i agree to an extent,
this " issue " has been brought up since the forum even existed.
and nothing has been made since the first posts.
clearly that tells you they are not gonna fix it.
( also, they openly stated that they don’t want to limit the player movement… )
i wonder, can you change that in mods?
i wish we could try and tell what players really want
bcs it’s strange they give up on this, or they may perhaps preapering big patch including everything fixed
i’m afraid i dont really have an answer.
as, i haven’t really looked up in the movement.
i believe you can, since i managed to change the speed of soldiers, but that’s speculation.
if i’ll see it, i’ll say something about it.
Increased speed while banking so that it can only be used in indoor CQB situations
But I don’t want to reduce my physical strength. First of all, this is unrealistic. No one will be out of breath because of tilting their head.
Besides, it’s meaningless. If I have a water bottle or a lot of physical strength, this restriction is almost non-existent and I can still abuse it.
In fact, this problem has also been encountered in other games, such as Rainbow Six, and their solution was to reduce the tilt speed.
I think it can be referenced
