Was checking out the new premium vehicles on Pacific and couldn’t help but noticing that they both have the interiors modeled when you stand in the copula???
Granted, it’s simplistic modeling (untextured I think), you can’t see the other crew members and there are no animations, but it’s definitely deliberate (you can see seats, shells and other deliberate internal modeling).
Could this be the beginning of something big?? Red Orchestra had fully modeled and animated tank interiors and it was honestly the highlight of that game, the immersion of tank combat was extraordinary. Just imagine.
On a related note - can we get rid of the pintel mounted MG’s on tanks that fire with no one manning them? OR - here’s a thought - allow infantry to man them, like they’re meant for?
it’s hard to see on foot because usually, only with either low profile vehicles or open top you can see the interiors, and those are all low poly.
which, cuurrently, lots of vehicles in enlisted are missing viewing port. so i don’t think we’ll get a proper view inside of vehicles as i would love any time soon ( i’m afraid ).
They can add those models and interiors in five years or so. After (and only after) all the bugs are finally fixed, we really need them to fix A LOT, so… These interiors would be amazing in a few years
You really think they’ll try to fix the bugs? Watch the next major update be another campaign instead of bugfixing. They should have focused on fixing what was there after the initial four campaigns were there. Now we’re two new campaigns in and still having the same bugs from before Tunisia and Berlin. It looks like they’re almost abandoning Stalingrad instead of fixing it.
Corporate is as corporate does. I mean they can prove me wrong but remember when CD Projekt Red was the “good guy” in the AAA game sphere? Then they released a rushed, unfinished, filled with broken promises game, just to cater to last generation console which couldn’t run it. Some people said the same thing with Rockstar in Red Dead Redemption 2, but Red Dead Online is dead now because they couldn’t milk it as much as Grand Theft Auto Online. Then you have the official release of Mount & Blade: Bannerlord, which for an official 1.0, has a lot of things not in the game that were promised to be in the game on release, not even having the same things as Warband, a game released in 2010. Then you have Call of Duty, which has literally only put out games to supplement their Warzone mode (not to mention Snoop Dog in WW2). When was the last time you were actually excited to watch or see what was coming out in something like E3? Gaming has become mainstream and corporate, creativity gets the backseat to profit. These companies can afford to be creative and not take a large hit, but it’s easier to do less and charge more if the players will buy it regardless if effort is in it or not. It’s the same reason the music industry is bad, and you get pieces with lyrical genius like WAP, Gucci Gang, and pretty much all other mainstream pop. I would argue that Fortnite and their whole Battle Pass system (which is in every game now) killed any effort or creativity in gaming.
