It’s not ideal for big fat tanks… But lighter tanks like the puma and the Rhino can go through this “ok”. It hurts less exploding in a starter tank than in a big late game one
It just kind of amazes me that so many of the maps are so bad to use tanks on, that they cater just to infantry gameplay and the tanks are an afterthought, all the clutter on so many of the maps makes driving the tanks a nightmare and all the tank traps as well.
Normandy and Moscow are so bad in this regard that the only reason I play them is for the daily challenges or to fly on.
Tunisia, apart from the new map, is much better overall for doing everything on imo.
Le Bre actually isn’t that bad for tanks, sure the rubble forces you to move slower and the urban environments force you to fight at closer ranges, but that forces you to fight more cautiously and more actively support your infantry, as staying with them is now your safest bet. Furthermore, there are places like the middle point where it is wide open, and it is just a tanker haven.
Q:can a rock stop a tiger?
A:In enlisted yes
I think another way to look at it is, Other than Tunisia, and that one new map, most of the other chapters a very frustrating to use vehicles on for the most part, and on Tunisia I can be assured that weather I am in a vehicle or playing as infantry I can have fun.
This is largely do to the map layout, how cluttered they are and how many obstacles there are
I dislike Tunisia for the exact reason vehicles have a fun time there, because it is so open, but not because tanks abuse it, it is more because snipers and artillery are spammed as much as possible due to being so open. Also, while Le Bre and other Normandy maps can be punishing for vehicles due to the rubble, I tend to find the rubble more useful than annoying as I can hide weakpoints like hull MGs when I do use tanks. Furthermore, Le Bre does have a few places where it is wide open and vehicles can be used to their full extent, the third point being the most noticeable.
Ver Sur (without the beache) would be better.
There is the assault version of her, i played here a couple of time last week
Yepp the first version of Ver Sur map (and imo the better one).
