Large Ammo Pouch & Backpack

Ammo pouches and Backpacks should have absolutely zero bearing on your matchmaking tier whatsoever

I’m still of mind that grenade pouches were a mistake and should be refunded and removed, but the large one defo should effect your MM tier if it isn’t removed outright

Its ridiculous that simple quality of life equipment like the flasks and binoculars are locked into a BR.

At least they should be locked out of the newbie tier but other than that yes.

I find this whole thing kind of silly, even entry level kit is lethal, the idea that later kit gives players a huge edge is a serious mid fuck.

Experienced Players can simply dumb down their kit and club Babby seals.

It’s the perception that all this some how makes a big difference that apparently so many players buy into that has created a reality all of it’s own.

Well right now they can do that without dumbing down their kit, so it’s better than nothing.

I think bags and equipment having tier ranks is a good thing. The lowest tiers are ment for brand new and learning players. Regular bags are even still tier 1 and the rest isnt really that much higher asside from large bags at tier 6.

While it can be argued that binos and flasks can be a tier lower, they are still effective tools that give pretty big benefits, especially the flask with the right perks

A machine gunner with a large ammo bag is much much more effective than one without, same can be said for AT Soldiers with large grenade bags, or an engineer with a large backpack filled with medkits. Why should this not have a bearing on BR tier?

Additionally, i dont think that down tiering to seal club will be a common issue because realistically there isnt much benefit. You would have to make a complete barebones setup to match with true newbie players, but it would only reduce any meaningful XP you would gain compared to if you played within your tier with more competent teammates and more versatile equipment.

Even if people still try to do it, it would be better than what we have now where high tier players can encounter a brand new player in a match at any time.

Seal clubbing IS the benefit.

Besides, just one among the other reasons:

“Score X kills with a bolt action rifle”
