Kubel Wagen with MG turret (BR1) vehicle

I have wondered if we add a support role vehicle to the battles, what would be the end result. This is a typical kubel wagen that’s been armored and added a MG34 gunner which could assist in supporting german defensive or some cases on the offensive. Crew would be consisting of a gunner, driver

As far as I know these were for training only, in fact Im not sure if the gun on it is real at all.

probably a little change to avoid getting any potential suing

there was a MG mount for the Kubelwagen however. Afrika Korps got their kubel wagen mg right on the front but the non-afrika korp one got it in the middle of car mounted

If german army was in the africa campagins, the kubelwagen can very much be intoduced there with an mg on the front to support the infranty in some way

the mg can be placed in the middle or front

that I know, but the Kubelpanzer was just made as a dummy tank for training.
Germans trained their soldiers with mock-up tanks so they would get training as close to the real deal as possible (smart thinking tbh).

But why would a dummy tank need an actual gun? I doubt the kubelpanzer had one.

my guess is, if you wanted to shoot blanks or get the real deal at the risk of injury or death ofc

there were also Kubel armed with 20mm Mg FF/M I believe for the Luftwaffe

Would love to have that in a support role

TRACKED KUBELWAGEN I snapped this curious looking Kubelwagen at a Military Odyssey show in England back in the 2000s. To be honest, I can't remember much about it, but as we have German 20 mm AA gun on a Volkswagen Schwimmwagen | German 20… | Flickr 5 cm Wurfgranat 41 Rocket Projectiles, extra rounds in sdkfz 4 Kubelwagen Type 155/1 - Nevington War Museum Kubelwagen Type 155/0 - Nevington War Museum

theKdF/Volkswagen Typ 82/3 Kubelwagen

Armored version of the Volkswagen Kubelwagen was fitted with a new body made by Ambi-Budd Presswerke Berlin. 80 and 100 of these vehicles were produced, fitted with removable dummy tracks and a rotating turret mounted a machine gun, imitating a tank, they were used for training tank crews, the track units were removed when deployed. The vehicle had no doors, entry was through the turret hatch. They were supposed to replace the Kfz 13 armoured cars, they were mainly used in Russia.

Good job.

imagine driving your amphibious kubelwagen with the anti aircraft gun on it playing “who sunk my battleship” with the enemy team. I’d be a mistake not to have this fun in enlisted.
