for me, i’d be ok, but i’d still rather to have a selector option.
like, have it off by default as i think would help newer players to know what weapons is rather than seeing a picture and not understand what it is.
therefore, if you or them then don’t like it, they can change it to icons.
at least imo.
I’m pretty sure, that icons of VG2, VG1-5, Type 99 Early, Type 99, Type 99 Late, Type 100 Early, Type 100 Late, MP-28, MP-40, MP-35/I, MP43/1 would be much more informative than names for noob.

Yes, customisable UI would be nice.
Why give random icons more info than the actual weapon names?
Because “Винтовка Мосина с гранатометом Дьяконова” takes a lot of space.
And type 99 rifle icon different much more from type 99 LMG, than their name.
I can only speak from the German and English/ Latin perspective and I don’t know why people would be confused about a T99 if the letters LMG and rifle still stand at the end.
Anyway, its an option. I just like icons more.
