people who sit in one area and do nothing but dig a hole should be kicked for being unproductive. if standing in place going afk kicks you for doing nothing why aren’t those people kicked for doing nothing?
yeah doubt they will kick people, but your frustration is understandable
People who dig useless holes on the edge of the map are still better than those individuals who think placing barbed wires deliberately on middle of objectives is any good idea.
I haven’t seen a dug hole almost since the shovels were added. But somehow you meet them often enough to suggest kicking ppl for digging.
I don’t get this game sometimes.
I be guessing more low tier, i not seeing any BR V, or noticed
Yeah they were novel for a while when they came out, some funny shenanigan’s in Tunisia at the time.
I play mostly BR3 so still, I should encounter at least one case of such behaviour (even though I don’t play a lot these days).
Yup. Another gimmic mechanic that is rarely usefull when the hype is gone.
I have never dug a hole and dont remember seeing anybody taking time to dig one.
If I would try to dig, I would be killed before the hole is finished.
Digging my own grave, no thank you.
You’re lucky.
I even encountered enemy defender during invasion who pre-digged hole at future tank spawn.
And yes, I spawned into it. There’s no protection against such BS atm.
I mean it smart tho isn’t it? I did that once and it was pretty effective
It’s just BS exploit
D-Day map is famous for those anti-tank holes.
I actually find that rather creative, but sure its annoying when your victory depends on blasting that bunker with Jumbo.
They don’t do nothing, they’re digging holes.
But meh. It’s a very casual game. They want to fool around, let 'em.
In turn, you can fool around too. When I’m with a useless team avoiding the objective like plague, I hop in a plane and fly like an eagle, to the sea, I fly like an eagle let my spirit carry me. Cause I want to fly like an eagle, 'til I’m free.
Edit: @robihr what the! Since when someone is faster than me to meme?!? I should read the entire thread 'fore posting…
i aint sayin he a hole digger, but…
my version has more metal in it like proper digging dwarf should have
Idk, I haven’t really listened to either, I just wanted to post something fast.
Something about holes, that is still family friendly.
Could you explain the specific instance in which you are complaining about?
Personally I use trenches for a variety of reasons, both offense and defense.
Offense:
-
Foxholes, sometimes with medkits or ammo boxes, as it gives a little protection from artillery, aircraft, etc.
-
Trenches, allows players to cross ground that may otherwise have no notable cover.
-
Rally point holes, as many players go hunting for rally points, it sometimes pays off to dig a hole out to the flank to build the rally in, so its still protected from fire but doesn’t have the tell-tale sign of sandbags around it.
Defense:
-
Trenches with barbwire are one of the very few ways to effectively use wire outside of the building itself, as being in the trench generally protects it from being destroyed by artillery fragmentation.
-
Digging into a small hillside at the right angle can allow for good (H)MG nest locations. Plus allow the player to build sandbags around the edge for added protection. Again, this is one of the few ways to make fortifications that aren’t so weak to enemy fire.
Digging has its uses, especially in a lot of lower tier fights on maps like Tunisia, Pacific, and Moscow, the only concern I have is that the digging depth needs to be increased to equal that of Normandy.
people who sit 1000 meters away just to dig a big hole
