Now since the Ki-49-II has super low wing loading, comparable to Spitfire F Mk.IX, many fighters can easily be shocked when they see it turn fighting with them and winning. Also having the 20mm Ho-1 cannon for self defene isnt shabby at all. However i think its better to keep with the Ki-49-IIa and not to go with the Ki-49-IIb with 12.7’s for the sake of it being balanced at Rank III. I also recommend that it uses 4x 250kg in Enlisted. Speed Wise, Ki-49-IIa is probably most comparable to A6M2.

Ki-49-II Trolling Potential, although its a shame i was using the IIa version with 7.7’s instead of the IIb with 12.7’s

Eww no. Just give us Actuall dive bombers and attackers. Japan will be goofy AF being the only faction with medium bombers flying around trying to PRECISION bomb targets. (Before you say it yes I know Ju-188 is technically a Med bomber)

USSR gets the TU 2
And US has the A 20
None of them are “divebomber” so how would japan be the only faction with medium bombers?
And what is inherently wrong about medium bombers if their payload is still managable?
Nobody is proposing the strategic bomber kind with multiple tons worth of bombs.
First of all the A-20 is not a medium bomber.
Second, those other two planes are barely medium bombers they fall in a weird gray area.
Third, why are we acting like we have exhausted all options for Japanese airpower when in reality we still have MANY options for Attackers, Dive bombers and Fighter bombers, before we have to even think of adding these sky whales?
Whats inherently wrong with Medium bombers? Well the fact that they would NEVER operate in the way they operate in the game currently. Medium bombers were not in the business of Close Air Support. Thats what Attackers and Dive bombers are for.
A-20 is a LIGHT bomber :3
