I’ve seen posts about future wars such as Vietnam (1946-1954). The French were the first to fight then America got involved there were the Anti-Communist Forces South Vietnam, United States, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and the Philippines. Then you had the Communist Forces which was North Vietnam followed by Viet Cong (VC) People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN) other parties were Laos followed by Cambodia. Both the Soviet Union and China provided significant aid to North Vietnam while the US and its Allies provided support to South Vietnam there was the Gulf of Tonkin incident (1964) Tet offensive (1968) followed by the My Lai Massacre (1968). Some think Vietnam should the final chapter while others feel differently, I’m not here to start 4th World War I have no reason to do any divisions because I hate mathematics.
I think Dark Force should do a Korean or Vietnam war game, but they should be totally separate from Enlisted. Lots of people would play it especially upon its release, however that would take players from Enlisted, so in the long run, would it be good? Yes, for people who love war games as their would be another war game to play, but not so much for Enlisted as it would siphon players.
Enlisted 2, “Vietnam”, coming soon to a console or PC near you
The problem with post war content is that they cant really use the preexisting TT as this would mean germany will be stuck with 10+ years of none existing arms industry.
Meaning while every side gets new and improved content, germany would be stuck with ww2 stuff unless they go the route WT took and make post war germany a merge of the soviet and US TT. But then you still fight soviets with post war soviet gear in Berlin…
So unless they reintroduce campains there is little they can reasonably do.
Or they make that as a standalone title but i doubt they can maintain 2 games at the same time.
a brick wall around ww2 content and everything after, could be in the same game as long as like world of tanks they are separated
Imagine a world where the french didn’t utterly fail and some 58 thousand Americans didn’t have to die for Domino Theory
58 000 casualties? Thought US had 400 000ish casualties?
During the Vietnam War, Germany (both East and West) and the UK were not directly involved in the conflict.
- West Germany (FRG) was focused on rebuilding its economy and society after World War II, and it maintained a policy of non-intervention in foreign conflicts.
- East Germany (GDR) was a Soviet satellite state, and while it provided some diplomatic and economic support to North Vietnam, it did not send troops or engage in direct military action.
- The United Kingdom, while a close ally of the United States, also did not send troops to fight in Vietnam. However, the UK did provide some diplomatic and economic support to the US and South Vietnam. Hence the +10 years behind interms of arms industry. Don’t forget that the war absolutely decimatied Germany financially for there war crimes.
Oh you are talking about Vietnam? Ha, funny I read “french failed” and assumed WW2…
When did the french not loose? Hehehe
Hypothetically speaking Here are some ideas on how the development team could implement the Vietnam War into Enlisted:
New Campaigns and Missions
- Vietnam War Campaign: Create a new campaign that focuses on the Vietnam War, with missions set in various environments, such as jungles, cities, and rural areas.
- Historical Battles: Recreate famous battles, like the Battle of Ia Drang, the Tet Offensive, or the Battle of Khe Sanh.
- Search and Destroy Missions: Implement missions that involve searching for and destroying enemy supply lines, tunnels, and bases.
New Factions and Units
- US Military: Introduce new US military units, such as the 1st Cavalry Division, the 101st Airborne Division, or the US Marine Corps.
- North Vietnamese Army (NVA): Add the NVA as a playable faction, with their own unique units, weapons, and abilities.
- Viet Cong (VC): Include the VC as a playable faction, with their own guerrilla warfare tactics and abilities.
New Maps and Environments
- Jungle Maps: Create new maps set in the dense jungles of Vietnam, with lush vegetation, rivers, and waterfalls.
- Urban Maps: Design maps set in cities like Saigon, Hue, or Hanoi, with narrow streets, buildings, and marketplaces.
- Rural Maps: Develop maps set in rural areas, with rice paddies, villages, and farmland.
New Weapons and Vehicles
- US Military Equipment: Introduce new US military equipment, such as the M16 rifle, the M60 machine gun, or the UH-1 Huey helicopter.
- NVA and VC Equipment: Add new equipment used by the NVA and VC, such as the AK-47 rifle, the RPG-7 rocket launcher, or the T-54 tank.
- Helicopters and Aircraft: Include iconic helicopters like the UH-1 Huey, the AH-1 Cobra, or the CH-47 Chinook, as well as aircraft like the F-4 Phantom or the B-52 Stratofortress.
New Game Modes
- Guerrilla Warfare: Introduce a new game mode that focuses on guerrilla warfare tactics, where players must use ambushes, booby traps, and hit-and-run tactics to defeat their enemies.
- Search and Destroy: Create a new game mode where players must search for and destroy enemy supply lines, tunnels, and bases.
By incorporating these features, the development team could create a comprehensive and immersive Vietnam War experience within Enlisted.

Their cooking skills
Oh good point - I do respect the French for their good taste much more so than the Germans for their Military, especially nowadays.
So I guess the French did win in long-term.
What happens to germany? is germany capped at br5? Darkflow would never cap what is likely their most popular faction.
Well they get historicaly accurate weapon , yes Germany was for 10 years crippled (From aspect of arms industry) but starting from mid 1950s things started to shift , occupational forces realized that in case of invasion of soviet they dont want to defend Germany and give permission to germany to start rearming , obviously France being France was against this but they couldn’t do anything .
Anyhow here is a simple TT that I have in mind should we go into CW.
For starters Canadian FAL’s as premium. Belgium demonstrates some hundered Canadian FALs to German government which Germany realy liked.
Next would be most likely G1 rifle , as I said above Germany did infact liked FAL and purches some from belgium (Belgium made FAL were different from Britain made FAL so it wouldn’t be problem)
And even if there was problem G1 were different they had wooden furniture , light metal handgaurd and internal bipod and some even had their flash muzzle removed .
Next TT item would be Mauser MP57 followed by a very cool premium/event squad and that being Mauser MP60 which could accept grenade lunchers .
Next premium could be IMI Uzi . The explaination is simple Mauser MP57 and subsequently MP60 were made for a competition which funny enough IMI Uzi won.
while we are in topic of SMG the Mauser company was going agains ERMA’s designs .there are 4 designs from ERMA which could both be premium or event or TT Imma just list all 4 here .
Erma MP58
Erma SMART(Erma-Panzer MP58)(Can lunch grenade lunchers)
Erma MP59
Erma MP60
Another premium rifle would be Cetme Model A chambered in 7.6241 Cetme (Model A was chambered in variety of ammos even in 8mm kurz buy 7.6241 was developed as a request of Bundesgrenzschutz)(this remind me a lot of countries experimented with 8mm kurz even there is a variant of FAL in 8mm kurz)
Another TT rifle would be G3(Trial) rifle .
For anyone wondering this is not that G3 , this G3 was from trials to find another rifle for bundeswehr after Belgium refused to sell production license to FAL. G3 from trials are Cetme mode Bs which were chambered for 7.62 nato.
So since I want to troll our local patriotic American, I am gonna put G4 (trial) rifle in TT .
G4 rifle was AI AR-10 which germany tested along 3 other rifles (G1 being FAL,G2 : gonna talk about in a bit and G3 which I talked about it above)
These were dutch made AR-10s which Germany bough for testing purposes and if you are wondering what is AI , its translates to artillery intelligence which were the company to produce AR-10s in Netherlands.
After that we put G2(trial) rifle as premium or event .
G2 was STG 57(Chambered in 7.62 nato) or SIG SG 510-1 .
And lastly we reach G3(H&K) , after the trials G3 was developed of the Cetme rifle .
Thats from rifles and SMGs.
Now LMGs MG1 , MG1A1, MG1A2.
All 3 are just MG 42 in 7.62 nato .MG1 was literally that, MG1A1(Commonly know as MG42/58) had little improvements , same story with MG1A2(Commonly known as MG42/59) but like I said these are MG42s in disguise you can use parts from MG 42s .
Well I dont think I need to go for East German weapons here the example above demonstrates my point that a German faction in CW would be OK weapon wise the problem arises what tank and planes Germany would use and in which war since the only thing I can remember involvingGerman forces would be occupation of Czechslovakia from 1968 …( the weapons were all from mid 1950s to 1959/1960)
