Can you please make jumping and firing simultaneously impossible?
Its extremely gamey
It sets back slow firing rifles and gives huge advantage to SMGs
By simple physics equation weapon recoil would throw the jumping shooter back (at least implement this)
In game that is trying to simulate real battlefield of ordinary grunts jumping should be reserved to crossing obstacles, climbing windows and such

So I run the calculation, and for a bullet weight of 20g, and of a speed of 700m/s, you lose about 5% of your current speed per shot.

So my question is: why should I care such a minor variation?

My second question is: shouldn’t I be working right now?

My third question is: you can not run and make a melee attack and that is WAY more disturbing. (Try to kill with a knife somebody who is running. Impossible)

SMG will spit dozen of bullets and probably fly off the hands… And while jumping, you are not rooted to the ground.
I will do an experiment in the evening: I’ll try to jump like an idiot with a flashlight in my hands trying to keep my cat lit all the time. No kickback involved.

Bunny hopping should be deleted from game.
Though I love shooting these bunny hoppers, and it’s a real joy hitting them with a bolt action rifle.

Using the answere of question 1) calculate the theoric rate of fire you would need for MG42 to make you fly.
Gravitationnal acceleration is g=9.81m/s2
The mass of the warhead is supposed the same as the mass of the bullet.

they are idiots, but its kind of supports my statement 
So I run again the calculation, i didn’t change the variable such as bullet weight so it’s maybe imprecise.
But you would need a rate of fire of about 4000 bpm to be able to fly with a MG42.
Nota:
You can already use a MG42 to fly on the moon. Which make MG42 the second second best means of transport after the LEM(lunar excursion module) but before the Lunar rover.

Combined with extra jump height perk which just lowers gravity, this means we can finally have axis air superiority.

Not that id disagree with your claim of being thrown by rifle recoil, but instead to instead add sort of rocket jumping with your idea.
Go nexto wall > aim down > empty your ppsh41 > find yourself at 20-40m altitude or from rooftop.
Enemy close by ? No worries, sit on your Mg42, jump and fly away with it like harry potter with broom just with deadlier rearblast.
