No you are missing the point of the topic and wasting my time writing stupid long paragraphs about technicalities.
The topic is literally how to aim in a JU188 and that is what I am explaining. I have used the dive bombing technique many times with great success and gotten over 35 kills in a run and taken out many tanks with it.
Using the plane aiming circle or whatever you want to call it for bombing 100% works if you are diving which is what you should be doing if you want to be accurate.
I said literally the opposite to this. This makes me believe you are a forum warrior that barely plays the game.
My original post is just me trying to help a new player with learning how to be an accurate bomber.
This technique has worked for me and not just for 188 and I’ve used it extensively so I can attest to being able to hit targets accurately and consistently if done correctly.
What technique do you suggest? Try to bomb horizontally? That’s ludicrous, unless you are sub 100 feet skimming the ground and guessing which is not aiming.
You are literally playing video games, no one is wasting your time. You are already actively choosing to do this. You can stop being so incredibly entitled.
You do not need to climb to 900 meters. It is a complete waste of time. Fly fast, fly as low as you feel comfortable so you can spot the action, and bomb stuff. Getting used to aiming does not require and special nonsense technique. The key is to fly as fast as possible so you can reload faster and bomb more. Wasting time climbing to 900 meters means you become slow, which means you are slower to reload after a bombing run, which means you bomb less during a game.
Using the reticle for steering does not help aiming AT ALL if you are not diving, or if you are maneuvering. And if you are diving, you can use pretty much any element in the cockpit as reference to figure out if you are on target. You are just using a point of reference.
It is no one’s fault but your own that you are confused about basic game functions. And all this leads to extremely bad advice from someone who is obsessed about being right rather than helping.
How to get good with aiming: select practice, go practice bombing until you get a feel for where the bombs drop with various angles of attack, at various speeds and at various altitudes. It is not rocket science.
Sure, I barely play the game. What a childish attempt to attack my character just so you can be “right”. Attacking a person implies insecurity and a complete lack of rational arguments to base your claims on.
If you are on target 100% of the time, you are not guessing, you are being accurate. Also, this is a bomber, not a dive bomber. Yes, you can absolutely fly horizontally and be accurate with it if you practiced enough to learn to TIME when to release the bombs while going fast over the target area.
Good for you. I explained why it is not going to work for everyone, and you lost your mind, because you cannot accept the concept of people having different opinions. Having a different opinion does not invalidate your opinion, it merely provides a different perspective on thing. Perhaps, stop projecting your insecurities on others? Stop obsessing about being right in the absolute?
They really need to add a bomb reticule or bomb sight to this.
Or specifically tell us what parts of our HUD/Airplane controls are our points of reference for this as “Fuck around and Find out” is really not a good tutorial. For practice and perfecting it’s good but for actually learning the baby steps? terrible.
Practice… Just keep doing it untill you get a good feel of it.
Drop them way befor the target since the bombs will carry your speed on a horizontal dive.
I find that the best way is to climb to 14.000 altitude, do a roll over and drop the bombs in less than a second with my plane belly up. Then blame the team why no one is on capzone and leave the match.
Works everytime 20%of the times.
For maximal immersion :
Request enemy positions using quick commands Atleast 12 times befor a bombing run.
