This game isn’t ready for jets. The maps are currently too small, the objectives are too easily taken and there are no proper counters to them.
Especially the allies. They get the two best in the game by far, which makes br V against them impossible. Their advantage over the Me 262 and Kikka mean that even other jets aren’t reliable enough counters to them.
To take one out while your team is at a no jet disadvantaged, takes too much time and focus away from the objectives.
SPAA’s and better AA’s should have been introduced alongside jets in the update as effective ground counters. Jets at least need to be removed until SPAA’s and better AA’s are introduced, but a lot of game mechanics need to be reworked as well to accommodate jets properly imo.

jets seems rather hasty/rushed with kind of no after thoughts.
but i believe it was more of a marketing move to gain more bucks.

it seems we are keeping this trend of " add and ask questions later " going.
The main problem is not the jets, the problem is their ammunition, the 500 kg bombs are really wild.
I think they should give them 250kg bombs, American jets deserve two 500lb(2*225kg), they don’t have powerful autocannons like other jets, but instead their rotation speed should be nerfed. And of course, Kika needs to get more ammunition.
But they will never do that, because they have sold too many F80s.
I don’t think Jets has changed anything in significant way. They’re just slightly faster planes. It’s not like you can’t aim for lead indicator with your AA now just because the plane is 200km/h faster.
This is just someone wanting a totally low effort 1 sec solution for something they do not want to deal with it at all.
Classic approach of those run & gun mains. For whom any vehicles just poison their favorite bot farming simulator.
You are right and wrong for aa a 30 per bump is not that bad. But for a fight it means it can control the engagement. It can break contact and attack at will while always being able to outrun an enemy it failed to kill. Also 4 30 mm cannons are deadly to a plane that can’t run but only fight.
I tbf, the jets are the best bot farming devices, literal bomb trains.
But I do agree that they can still be taken down easily enough, I think a lot of people dont realise that if they get their upgraded AA, that wont really change anything since it will likely still suffer from traverse rate while trying to track jets.

It might be the best in general… But its no where near as fun strafing with 20mms as it is with 30/37mm

The SU-9 and Me 262 aren’t too bad, but in the current environment, the Meteor F3 and F-80A are seriously breaking the balance. They almost make me feel like we’re back in the era of P-47D kamikaze attacks.
The core issue is still the game mechanics. I can’t imagine what the environment will be like when the F-4 Phantom or A-1 Skyraider shows up in the future. Thirty-two 500-pound bombs and 144 rockets? That’s clearly a dead end. Perhaps we should return to War Thunder’s spawn point system or adopt something like Call of Duty’s killstreak or scorestreak mechanics, making vehicles appear as rewards.
No, what they need to do is stop powercreeping the game into a shittier and shittier place
Adding stronger AA is also an idiotic idea because then you just basically delete 99% of the fun planes out of the game
The jets just fucking suck ass. Best way to play them is to just be a bomb truck/do a single pass against enemy plane and run like a bitch to the end of the map.
Also every game now sounds like a busy civilian airport
