So, I saw some people talk about the next map update is probably going to be in France or Italy. I dont really think we need another French map but Italy would be nice however,

I play all factions, usually with ‘play any faction’ selected. I have mostly grinded out the TT, at least for every infantry squad. Having played all these factions I dislike playing Japanese the most. Not becuase they are not fun, they are and have some of the most fun weapons. But you just get the same map over and over again. They trully need some more maps. Japanese only get a few maps all in the same setting.
Either add Japs VS Soviet (which I think is the best idea) or add the Burma campain or something like that. But please, do not give the next map once again to Germans VS Sovjets or Germans VS Americans another map, they have plenty.
For fuck sake add a German VS Japs map I dont care! Japs need more maps!
That’s why i’m not playing JP anymore. All other factions have banked over 2.5mil xp while Japan is only at 153k xp. Pacific is only acceptable as USA since i will play something else next match anyway.
There are so many potential maps in the pacific alone and then there is also china philippines and manchuria. If the next map aint for the japan i will be really mad. There is an reason i rarely play japan due to the constant gavutu and guadalcanal
I’m tired of jungles and caves, so I’m going to Manchuria, Hong Kong, Manila, or Iwo Jima.
But what I am particularly hoping for is a fictional Operation Downfall battle in Tokyo and the Boso Peninsula. (Don’t be offended, that would be perfect for our current fantastical Japan BR5)
What about the Battle of Attu? Its still Japan vs USA but It would be in a completely different envioroment. A snowy mountenous map that woild offer good mid-BR gameplay and would introduce winter uniforms for the Japanese.

Is that the case? Saw some post that said they knew because they you know, new a guy or something. But I don’t know if there was anything to it, you might be right that nobody knows. But if they are right than it would be disapointing…
I agree. I’ve been advocating for New Guinea partly because I’m Australian. The Kokoda Track is perfect for an FPS and would be very different to the current maps. Id also consider Rabaul.
Burma is another suggestion myself and others have mentioned before. I think that would make sense since of course its inland so by nature would be very different to the current same old same old maps.
Also good to have a specifically British-Commonwealth VS Japan rather than All American.
I further suggest the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia) like Borneo and Balikpapan.
I don’t understand why DF is ignoring all these. I’ve commented before how we ask for new maps for the Pacific, they give us new maps (great), except they are the same thing over and over! I forgot the New Georgia map was new after less than a week which is not good for maintaining player interest.
This is even more applicable as you point out for Japan where, compared with the Allies, there is ZERO variety to maps.
