Chinese players usually call it “the Coffin of Showa”
But still much better than those tanks in enlisted already

In my opinion, fictional (not paper-plan, made by western intelligence error or created for game purpose) tanks like Mitsu-104 and Ho-Ri III are not suitable for game.

Chi Ha and Chi Ha Kai are almost guarantees as later editions.
Other than the Ho Ni I couldn’t see and don’t want the rest of that list.

This is ho ri iv and it was not only on paper. Japanese even made experiments with more powerful 10 cm guns

The author cleverly mixes real material with what is not.
The “Ho-RI III mockup” that shown in the blog will be early design of Ho-Ri I. It was published on 1971 ver of “Tanks of Japan” by Hara Tomio, Eimori Denji and Takeuchi Akira , and labeled as “Ho-Ri I”.
Also, this book explain clearly that Model I is a version that place combat room in rear and engine in front, and Model II is a version that place engine in rear.

Summary

Also, "Ho-Ri III outline. Labeled incorrectly as Ho-Ri I due to the rear mounted superstructure. " is published on 1961 version of “Tanks of Japan”(日本の戦車), but in 1978 version of that book, that sketch was removed and these two Ho-Ri I and II are shown.

note: If there have been changes between the old and new editions of the book, the new edition is generally updated with the correct information. In case of it, it seems to be updated by returned documents from US and remaining document that stored by each engineers personally.

Also, both 1961ver and 1978ver show front-engine inclined-armor version is “Ho-Ri I” so I think it is not a “Ho-Ri III” as author says.

Summary

Also, it should be noted that specification table of Japanese tanks written by retired engineers and officers of IJA 4th technical research institute. According to “四研史” (lit. History of 4th institute) published in 1982, it had one 37mm cannon, one 7.7mm MG, one 105mm cannon and twin 20mm cannons. (You can read it in library of Osaka university) It matches existing Hori II drawings, but contradicts what shown by the author.

四研史

Known blueprint of Ho-Ri II

Also, author already hidden but in old article he showed a forged image that looks like it was created by processing the image in the book “Tanks of Japan (1978)” and titled “The Ho-Ri tank as drawn by Tomio Hara.” For being dishonest like this, so to be honesty I don’t think this author can be trusted very much.
