Perhaps for me alone, as the most ardent fan of Japanese weapons, this will seem like a problem, but I would like to draw your attention to the fact that when playing for Japan, you most likely will not use “Japanese weapons” until BR 5. Apparently, I will have to explain myself.
The second BR is Japanese adaptations of the Czech ZH 29 and ZB 26, as well as an excellent French machine gun in the form of the Hotchkiss 1922. The third BR is a Japanese adaptation of the American M1 Garand and the Swiss SiG Ke 7 is generally a trophy. Of course, I understand everything, Japan is a nation that really had quite a few weapons projects and their study is very difficult. But why then are the Japanese weapons that are already in the game so bad?
The Type 11 is an example of a unique Japanese weapons school, with a partly crazy solution, but this is the worst machine gun among all those in the nation development branches. Type Hei is a unique rifle with a Pedersen system and gas-operated automatics, which is why you do not see the enemy during shooting, which is cool and unique without jokes, but who needs it now when there is ZH 29, ask for Type Otsu? Type 96 and Type 99 had a rather rare opportunity in life compared to other light machine guns - the installation of optics and a bayonet, the latter is fortunately implemented in the game, but instead of unique bayonet attacks with a machine gun, you will see a Swiss SiG Ke 7 in the hands of an ally. I would really like to see that the unique weapons of the Japanese school were in demand, their solutions are often unique and are also reflected in the gameplay.
Of course, I understand that Type 4, Type Otsu or Type 97 have every right to be in the Japanese development tree, but I do not understand why all these weapons are superior to Japanese ones. Type 4 for example could be replaced by Type Ko for 3 BR, a very unusual rifle with a rotating drum and Pedersen system, as well as the ability to mount optics (many variants of rifles and carbines were made, not just the one in the premium squad), but now we will have a confrontation between the American M1 Garand and the Japanese M1 Garand…
Various versions of Type Ko.
But ironically, the Type Ko is literally the worst semi-automatic rifle in the 3BR.
By the way, if we touched on the Type 4 (rifle), I would like to speak about its weight, in the game it is 4.3 kg (the developers stupidly took the weight from the M1 Garand), although its weight is 4.097 kg.

An alternative to the Hotchkiss 1922 (which was also a great rarity for a trophy) could, for example, be the Type 11 prototype with a rigid belt.
The Type 96 and Type 99 with optics could replace the captured Swiss SIG Ke7.
German RPzB. 43 Ofenrohr, could be replaced by Japanese 90mm - Type 4
In general, do you think it’s normal that when playing for Japan, the player doesn’t use Japanese weapons?
