This one is aimed at making quality of life adjustments to the Japanese tech tree and placing the planes already existing in the game into their correct BR as well as a few new planes.
BR I:
D3A1 down from BR II.
- The 250 Kg bomb is no reason to keep it in BR II, The IAR-81C has a 250 Kg bomb and it’s in BR I. It’s also much slower than it’s German counterpart, with much less firepower frontally. The D3A1 deserves to be in BR I.
D3A2 (New Bomber) - FOLDERED with D3A1
- This plane would be really easy to introduce because it’s identical to the D3A1 looking the same and having the exact same stats, with the exception of a different engine causing it to be 21 km an hour faster. This would be a perfect folder in option.
Ki-10-II (New Fighter)
Speed: 400km/h
Climb rate: 16.67 m/s
Armaments: x2 Forward fixed 7.7mm Type 89 MG.
This has potential to be a solid 3 prop in the game, while keeping the early war feel of japan.
BR II:
B5N2 down from BR III.
- This plane just downright underperforms in BR III, not only is it slow but it has no frontal weapons It’s only armaments are 2 of the 250 Kg bombs and a rear 7.7mm gunner. The only saving grace of this plane is it’s turn time, hence why it should not be BR III and instead be dropped to BR II.
BR III:
B7A Ryusei (New Bomber)
- This plane would replace the B5N2, surpassing it in every way.
Speed: 567 km/h
Climb rate: 9.67 m/s
Armaments: x2 Wing mounted 20mm MG,
13mm or 7.92mm rear MG, and up to 800 Kg of bombs or torpedoes.
This is the perfect plane for BR III and the perfect replacement for the B5N2.
Ki-51 (New Bomber)
Speed: 424 km/h
Armaments: 1x rear mounted Te-4 7.7mm MG,
2x fixed Forward firing 7.7mm Type 89 MG (replaced on later models by 2x 12.7mm Hoi-103 MG), and 200Kg of bombs.
