Japanese BRI tanks

I’m going to beat this drum again. It’s been pointed out previously that Japanese 37mm cannons used HE rounds, and that they had roughly twice the TNT equivalent of their US counterparts. Adding these would take the BRI Japanese tanks from “mostly harmless” to “occasionally able to kill someone”.

It’s also been pointed out that the main gun on the Ha-Go in game was the cannon mounted on the original from the early thirties and by the time WW2 started; they’d switched to a slightly less feeble version.

Also, consider just giving control of the hull mounted MG on some of the light tanks to the turret gunner.

So, in short; give Japanese light tanks HE rounds, upgrade the cannon on the Ha-Go, and make the machineguns more usable.

Also, find a way to get the Chi-Ha in to the TT. I paid money for it, and I am saying; put it in the TT. There’s no damned reason that the most common Japanese tank should be a “premium” item.

(I also have the premium Chi-Ha and I still want it in the TT)

The fact the Chi Ha wasnt in the tech tree is actually criminal.

I have made a Topic about this a while ago. I agree it is criminal. It would be the same as if the Tiger was premium only vehicle.

I support this. It makes me wonder what the devs were thinking when they made prototype ta-se the most common tank for japan while locking the main medium tank of ija behind premium.

No, thanks. I paid it for it. And there’s no reason to use historical realities as justification to make in ingame changes.

You have nothing to lose from the Chi-ha or Chi-ha kai getting added to the TT. If anything they would probably still be worse than the HO-I and barely see useage besides a few larpers and newbies.

Tech tree chi ha would have standard camo and less heat shells making the premium one still unique.

Much better than the kv 2 situation where the only unique thing in premium one is 1 coax mg.
