Although the Japanese army has a high winning rate now, this is only because the number and quality of Japanese players are higher than those of the US military. And back to the discussion of weapon balance, the Japanese weapons are almost completely weaker than the US military, perhaps the only exception is the Type 38 rifle, because it has a fast rate of fire. The biggest problem with Japanese weapons is that automatic weapons are much worse than the U.S. military, not only slow fire rate, low damage, but worst of all, extremely poor accuracy. Although the accuracy of the American submachine gun is not very good, at least the power is better, and it is much stronger than the Japanese submachine gun in close combat. In terms of machine guns, I currently only have the Taisho 11 machine gun. It is also a weapon with extremely poor accuracy. It is completely incomparable with the Browning M1918 of the US military. After that, I tried the machine gun through the map editor, and it didn’t feel good. As for semi-automatic, it is unacceptable garbage. I don’t understand why a rubbish bolt-action rifle like the Type 99 corresponds to a Garand. I don’t even understand why the Japanese army was given a semi-automatic rifle with only five rounds of magazines to counter the Johnson rifle. And in its description there are ten rounds of magazines. Moreover, in terms of game mechanics, the US military has also been strengthened, such as faster occupation points and more manpower replenishment. According to the current equipment of the Japanese army, as long as the number and quality of the US military players increase, even if the Japanese army is a defender, it will be difficult to resist. U.S. offensive.
completely agreed, especially considering the fact that their aim reticles is so tunnel visioned its hard to aim.
Then I can only hope that the official can at least find automatic weapons for the Japanese army that are enough to fight the US military when the next upgrade continues. Otherwise the Japanese will be worse than the Tunisian Axis and be the worst faction in the game.
They could swap the Type Hei and Otsu rifles as the Type Hei could take a 10 or 20 round box mag, or they could make it the Type Ko with an internal 10 round box mag. They could also buff the LMGs to deal damage closer to that of a Bereda Mod. 30, I am also quite flabbergasted as to why they did the Type 97 at level 20. They should have put the Type 96 there, and then put the Type 99 at level 26. However, almost every SMG the Japanese currently have is quite good and all of the weapons with a select few exceptions are unique, meaning that it likely won’t ever fall off quite like Tunisia Axis.
Although many weapons of the Japanese army are currently brand new and unique. But not fun. For example, impact mine, I think the production team secretly modified it, yesterday I was able to use it to destroy the M13 in one hit, but not today. There are others. To be honest, I use the 38 rifle for most of the battles, because the US military often hides and snipes from a distance. There is also the use of sappers to create anti-aircraft or anti-tank guns against enemy infantry and anti-aircraft vehicles. When the U.S. military really attacked, it was difficult for the Japanese submachine guns to eliminate them, because the rate of fire and damage determined their killing efficiency was very low. So I don’t think the Japanese is better than the Tunisian Axis, or even worse in terms of weapon quality. After all, Italy has G41 rifles against Garand, MP40 and Beretta M1 at least have good accuracy, while the Japanese army can only use Type 38 rifles. In conclusion, I think when people lose the freshness of the Japanese army, the Japanese army may become the robot camp. I now feel that the first three campaigns are not bad, at least which camp has interesting equipment to play, and the last three campaigns are very perfunctory.
agree
especially with this, i’m alright with japan having slightly worse guns because they get other advantages with their spawns on the maps, but the current accuracy of the MGs is insufficient
especially with this
Honestly, the ROF for the Japanese weapons arn’t that bad, the Type 2’s raw DPS beats the Thompson due to the ROF, and the MP 28 can sustain fire for much longer than any other SMG and is the best weapon of it’s class in the campaign IMO. Also, the Type Hei and Otsu rifles both preform well enough IMO, and the Type Hei having an extra 25 rounds in it’s ammo pool makes it work quite well IMO. I don’t see it becoming as abandoned as Tunisia Axis, as the largest reason that faction is abandoned is because no one wants to grind out another MP 40, Berreta M38 or MG 34, while Japan has plenty of new stuff that works well, enough. I think the more apt comparison is Berlin where sure, the Axis do technically have weaker equipment until the endgame, but the playerbase and thus matches are split pretty evenly despite one side having an advantage in most things, due to the fact that there are unlocks on both sides that players want and can’t get anywhere else.
Right now I’m on a grinding spree with the japanese.
Not because I want better weapon, but because I want weapon I can actually aim with.
Very well said. I feel playing the Japanese is like playing with bf1 guns. Low rof, low damage, and low accuracy lead to horrendous ttk compared with marine weapons and abysmal gunplay. There is minimal improvement grinding up the levels and the only reliable weapons are type 38 rifle and grenade spam.
Semi autos and smgs all need buffs. Lmg such as type11 also.
The firing rate of smg tyep2 confused me. In my data, it shows that the firing rate is 1028/1200, but only 690 in the game
Most of the Japanese automatic weapons are weak, and the damage is too low and the firing speed is not outstanding
Yesterday my winrate as Japanese was 90%
Today it is 0%
maybe a bit of an overadjustment
Look the positive site type hei got buffed, and is far more cool than a zk29 (economic)
Less damage and smaller magazine than armaguerra, which already feels wimpy for a semi :C
Nice irons tho
