These 3 japanese aircraft are the very best Japan high BR has to offer, great loadouts, maneuverable, Air spawn etc and they do not disappoint.
However as it stands ALL 3 aircraft are in the same squad meaning only 1 japanese player can spawn these formidable aircraft and so Japan players must make a decision on what to bring to the fight, strong assault plane or better fighter?
Major issue being is that only 1 Japanese player has the ability to air spawn and at the same time they will have to intercept 2 US aircraft while the other japanese player must take off from the carrier… this is not okay regardless if the japanese planes are strong or not.

In my opinion the Ki-84 Ko should be moved to an assault plane squad while also retaining its ability to air spawn allowing both japanese players to have an equal right to spawn and fight together at the same time instead of having unbalanced 1 vs 2 aircraft fights due to carrier spawns.
It’s a good suggestion to give the Ki-84 Ho as an attack aircraft. and in the case of aircraft carriers, there are two options. or remove them completely. Because currently they don’t make sense. Or provide an alternative to aircraft carriers in the form of airports. But in the case of airports/carrier there should be no waiting time for spawning after the match starts. In this case, the distance to the target should be slightly extended, say to 4,500 meters. And by the way. Airports should be entered on every map. but it’s in the Pacific that it’s most annoying.
This is the decision every F2P player must make on any faction at all BRs.
And it’s safe to say that 99.99% of all pilots choose better ordnance. Sure, it’s nice if you can have both, but I do not think the issue you outline is cause for concern. Dogfights happen predominantly because players don’t want to be shot down by the other plane, but almost all players spawn planes to either farm infantry or focus on a tank - and then of course some 50% of the pilot playerbase will crash their plane as soon as they reach the battlefield.
Dogfighting really is a small niche in Enlisted, and we have to face that. Especially while plane cycling, bomb aiming and the likes are still unaddressed.
So as much as there may be a dilemma here for premium players, I just don’t think it affects the vast majority of players as it’s only a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of players who even want a plane that performs in dogfights. There are much more pressing issues that need a solution so this can become a more pressing concern in its own right.
Just add airfield spawn for non-naval planes to make it fair for everyone. Ki-84 is a fighter and should stay as a fighter. Also, when will the dev add the air spawn timer for Pacific? The terrain in Pacific is just too ideal for HVAR spam and nobody wants to get nuked right when they load in.
If i remember correctly they used to have airfields you could land on to repair and rearm but they removed them. I’m not sure why but they probably had a reason so i don’t see them adding them back in unless they fixed the reason they removed them to begin with. Also i agree with GNT, this problem is such a small aspect of the game that affect very few people that i think they are better off spending their time elsewhere. Like making the new player experience better.
I think having the timer reduced for spawning at the start might help for carrier aircraft but they already have an advantage over non carrier aircraft because they can land and repair their aircraft.
