Using Onmyoji and monsters to form a mixed division team
I don’t know how it is in America
But I see that this title is often used in China.
Their hate education is very good
Even taking the initiative to declare war to the Eight-Nation Allied Forces and defeat can be said to be an invasion.
Well, when Chinese people go out of their way to say “JAP”, it is obviously with malicious intent. We are neighbors and are familiar with each other’s affairs, so I feel that it is a deliberate decision to choose that name.
Japanese people with good sense do not call “支那(Shina)”.
It is just a place name and the origin of the word “China,” but the Japanese used that name with a discriminatory mindset.
So,Japanese who know their past avoid that name.
Btw, I am not comfortable writing the “Sino” part in English for “日中戦争-中国抗日战争-Sino-Japanese War”.
As for English speakers calling it “JAP”, I am not so concerned about it now. “JAP” is a shortened form of Japanese, and the Americans who used it in a discriminatory way are either in their graves or old men who are dying. I don’t think many people today understand that it has discriminatory intent. So when I see the word “jap” being used too often in this forum, I don’t usually get angry or point it out.
However, if a someone who claims to be an expert on Japan calls a Japanese person a “JAP”, I would question his expertise.
and I never used for be mean a friend of mine who born in Spain and family are from there yse it a lot and I know now that
I’m sorry I never knew it was offensive I only use it because I assumed was shorter way of saying Japanese. Thanks for explaining
Never mind, the use of “jap” internationally is now perfectly acceptable, and few Japanese are bothered by it today.
I see but you explain well I rather respect those that actually would find it offensive by it not society norms
Thank you.
I would appreciate it if you could do so, as saying Jap to Japanese who do not have the opportunity to meet foreigners would probably offend them.
