Just logged into play a few games while talking to my buddies on discord. What a joke, US rolled both games. It’s not worth playing at all, it’s not fun. Japan is my last one to grind so I don’t feel like playing anything else.
Posting here is more fun than the game.
Pretty much stopped playing since Helldivers came out, guess I’m going back to Helldivers.

Japan is fun. In higher br, that’s where veterans hang out. I don’t mean mere rank farmers, but players who know what they do.
Yooo same lmaoo I decided to try out japan since they are getting new shit in the next major update. Played 5 games just now, lost all of them. Truly a humbling experience. Worst of all is the US players bringing BR 3 stuff to fight the anemic Jap arsenal of BR1 and 2
The one good thing about Japan is that you don’t go in expecting to win, so losses sting less. It is relaxing, in some odd masochistic way

Yeah there are couple of maps where a sherman can have an overwatch over the 1st 2-3 caps sitting in the grey, which is not fun.
Having said that, i play japan on BR2 and its ok.
Dont bother with tanks, really.
Bring a plane (i have the zero, but if in doubt take one with bigger bombs to suicide grey zone shermans more reliably.
Bring AT troopers with mix of at weapons.
Blabla spawns bla bla
Bolts will do the job.
Grenades. Lots of grenades.

I have to unlock higher BR to play higher BR, which is the whole point for me playing Japan right now.
I do suicide planes when needed, but doing it over and over just isn’t fun. But maybe its the only way to grind research. Doesn’t help with upgrading squads though. Such horrible game play doesn’t make me want to play. Thanks for the suggestions, I’m just not enjoying the game at all.
Helldivers has been tons of fun, even playing alone. And it hasn’t cost me anything beyond the initial perchance to enjoy it.
You can play BR4 Japan with even BR2 weapons. Just get a GO weapon like type hei late or premium squad on BR4.
I currently run with type100 (early) and type38 ariska rifles, both are literally BR1 but does the job well and are dirt cheap too, true Japan experience.
Get one BR4, or at least a BR3 weapon(gold order). You will get the same opponents, but better teammates.
Jap BR4 mostly win
Finished my Japanese tree at BRII - win/loss tended to depend on time of day more than anything else.
Japan BR III is fine too - but you have to desert in case you get an uptier!

Just 2 things about squad upgrades in case it helps.
1.) Always unlock the blue middle track first, for the exp. multiplier
2.) Except for the engineer, so you can score passive exp for the squad thru spawns
