Jagdpanzer IV L/48 Normandy

Noticed this aswell today while goofing around in practice but the Jagdpanzer IV L/48 is present in the German Normandy vehicles lineup and not the Panzer IV/70(V) which is the unlock vehicle.

I assume this is a bug but it just caught my attention. I always assumed that the Jagdpanzer IV L/48 would come into the Normandy Campaign because these vehicles actually saw combat in Normandy July of 1944 with
‘3.Kompanie, Panzerjager-Abteilung 228.’
and ‘2.Kompanie, SS Panzerjager-Abteilung 17.’

The Panzer IV/70s didn’t start to show up onto the Western front until late August/September 44 which is why I was a bit surprised they decided to add that variant of the vehicle.

I know the devs never really do this sorta thing but I honestly believe that the Jagdpanzer IV L/48 would be a much better fit for the Normandy Axis. Mainly because of the much higher ammunition storage for both the 75mm and the MG42, but also it’s more historical so I think it’d be cool :sunglasses:

I do wish they would pay more attention to this kind of detail, it would be better for them anyway, as it would make different campaigns actually feel different with more time and campaign appropriate kit.

As it is now all the chapters are just a big messy mash up of inappropriate kit for the most part.

Like recent additions to Tunesia, G.55 and the Australian SMG, neither of which saw service there, to name but two of the countless errors in the game.

Totally agree man, this is a perfect example just asking for the correct variant of a Tank Destroyer isn’t asking for the devs to move mountains especially when that content is already present in the game

No, if they want to add it, they should add it at low level. It is inferior to Panther and Tiger so it will make no sense to add it at such high level.

It is not about paying attention to detail, dev absolutely don’t care about this. Their policy is if that thing exist on that time (even in prototype form), they can add it.

They already did mate, the Panzer IV/70 is the highest level unlock in Normandy right now

I quote your word saying Jagdpanzer IV L/48, so I am talking about it. Not Panzer IV/70.

I agree that either Jagdpanzer IV variant is not as viable in Enlisted as the Tiger or Panther. Regardless of where they should have fallen in the campaign progression I would have preferred to see the more appropriate vehicle for the Normandy Campaign

the tank was suposed to be introduced on the campaign levels, but was insted used on a berlin reward for an event.

what we are looking at on the training map is a leftover of something we might never see in normandy coz wont make sence to add now.

same for mkbs or tommys with drums (this one will def apear.).

I’ve got the reward vehicle in Berlin and don’t get me wrong I’m happy to have any version of the Jagdpanzer IV in Normandy but honestly just seeing that version in the training grounds of Normandy kinda poked me in the gut since that was the version I was asking for so long ago

Ye I would love it too there. But honestly there isn’t much of a reason on current levels to add it.

If somehow they start to give stuff to previous levels as side grind, sure, everything can be added

Nah. Fighter III/ Atacker III are still missing iirc. Probably copy+paste premiums.

Mkbs no, I ment Tommy with drums.

Mkb don’t have a place now since stgs are present

Never say never in this show.

Fair enough man, honestly that’s why I’m hoping they retool the progression system sometime in the near future. So much content gets restricted by what’s already in the campaign and how it stacks up to what players already have

If I would guess, they could just add extra sub levels on current campaign ones.

For example, last level as 40, let’s say, and add in the future a 140k level under level 27(example) to unlock diferent gear.

A new player can choose the path to grind it, a old player with everything unlocked can choose to unlock it later.

Would be, the best case scenario and the best aproach to this horizontal level system

This way, I would be at level 40,unlocking another item at level 27,30, 15,3 etc.

A tree progression would develop and would be easy to add gear to existing campaigns without making the grind a pain

Absolutely! I think making the grind easier and giving players more freedom to choose what they want will definitely help new and F2P players, which intern helps fuel the future of the game
