So bit of background I personally love the German Jagdpanzers. The Jagdpanzer IV being one of my favorite and I was doing some reading in a recent purchase from ‘Osprey Publishers’ about the Jagdpanzer IVs and British Cromwells in the battle of Normandy. I think these vehicles would make great additions to the the Normandy Campaign either as premiums or tech tree additions. Unlike vehicles like the Panther or Jumbo, the Jagdpanzer IV and Cromwell wouldn’t be crazy powerful tanks that become really dominate in the Campaign but would still be new and different enough to justify their addition. Basically I think they’d balance really well, the Cromwell offering good mobility and a decent gun but having thin armor while the Jagdpanzer offers a good gun and armor but is far less versatile because of the lack of a turret and limited MG traverse.
Lemme know what you guys think, also I definitely recommend this book and others from this series to any other armored enthusiasts

Please, no. AT tanks suck in this game.
They would work if the maps were bigger
Iirc the Jagpanzer was announced back before OBT as a vehicle for Germany.
Ah yes the new boundle at price of 60 bucks
Yeah that’s the catch 22 I guess, premium prices can be a pain
Jagdpanzer IV/48 was added in Berlin in fact with Operation Fiery November
Was already announced back in CBT days of Moscow and Normandy. Have to look at the old news to see this.
I believe it less that AT isn’t effective and more of the map balance. I pretty much play exclusively armor and can say there’s many different things to watch out for ‘sometimes’ however there’s some maps in Normandy specifically where tanks can sit in the Grey and are relatively untouchable minus planes and power guns on other tanks
It’s not map balance, it’s just bad at killing infantry about which the game is.
Can’t say that I agree with that statement. From my perspective which I won’t deny is biased (like I mentioned I play pretty much exclusively armor), there’s a good range of threats that a good Tank player has to be aware at least when actively taking part in the battle such as Infantry carrying PIAT or Bazookas, the explosive satchels that any Infantry class can carry, enemy tanks, and bombarding aircraft. This obviously can be really circumstantial depending on tons of variables like team play, map, objective, the tanks in question and so on, this also is just referring to Normandy and also doesn’t include sitting in the Grey zone at long range.
My point being I think AT is fine not saying everything is perfectly balanced because that would be a lie but I think the balance and flow of maps can sometimes restrict the ability to use AT
