This may be of use to you it also explains why fg had it’s ammo count reduced
that data isnt reliable,
That is literally the devs word from the OBT launch where they standardized ammo count
but here we are where the data isnt applied to a lot of SMGs or semi auto rifles
rather than standarized they should give mag accordingly by considering the damage too
you shouldnt really referance old dev statements that much. they change this all the time for balancing. every 32 round mag german smg has 160 ammo, the ppsh-41(box) in berlin has 175 bullets.
and all semi autos have tweaked ammo counts according to how they perform in battle. the fg 42 lost its third magazine because it was op as shit. coming from a person who maxed out all three axis campaigns
(i really dont care that much about the m38/42. 120 shots is honestly enough, i just dont think these numbers are accurate)
ART’s in Moscow have 20 rounds
Bolt actions have 25, lee gets 20 because the 10 round mag same with vg2
Smg usually have 1 additional mag in the cause of ppds/ppsh drum mags, or at least 120 rounds on average
Semi autos that can 1 hit have 20/24,garand is weird, or 1 in the case of avs and fg
MGs have 1 reversed or 100 rounds, which is why dp-27 has 1 extra despite being below 100 rounds in total, BAR and beretta have 20/100, bren having 60 so it doesn’t go over that 100 round limit
I believe that is reserved ammo in most cases since atrs do have 20 in reserve in Moscow, same BAs, while FG got it’s ammo taken away in part of That but more so because it had 100 in reserve
Its honestly alright for how long your sole assaulter lasts lol
yeah i just checked and moscow actually do mostly follow these rules. but the the other campaigns are different because of more unique weapons (compared to moscow atleast). like for example the M1 and M2 carbines and the FNAB-43 in normandy
and especially in tunisia where even the boltys violate these rules, the numbers seem outdated
I think it’s slightly because of different magazine size which is why lee and VG have different ammo count
might be yeah.
i think the numbers you posted might be used as just a “rule of thumb” of sorts for the devs. in the way that they are the standards before they tweak them maybe? that they test them out with those ammo counts and then see if they need an extra mag or two, or if they would be more balanced with less.
It makes sense to me, but then again i did spend 50 bucks on tunisia so i might just be stupid
It might be worth it when it goes to phase two so you can name your Italian soldiers “Mario” and “Luigi” respectfully
what are you trying to say in this part?
lemme guess, you mention all weapon where the “standard” applied to? lot of weapon are not using the standard ammo too
like sometime weapon use the standard total ammo just like you say, sometime accounting the damage, sometime it has to have 4 mag at least etc etc
M1, M2, G43 kurz, all have more than 30 round and have 2 spare mag, this isnt up to the standard but all have lower damage than average semi auto rifle (12.7) so this is balancing measurrement to compensate the damage
all german SMGs have more than 140 ammo in total (except baretta M1918 and M38) but all are do have 4 spare mag (except M38) because it has lower damage than grease gun or thompson because it need to be done as balancing measurement
what worse is M38/42 get standard ammo count while thompson has higher ammo than standard even tho M38/42 damage is lower, it supposed to be the opposite
it’s just too much inconsistency to rely on the data, in the end the game also consider the damage but not all of them get the same treatments
The only reason why the carbines have more ammo is because their are terrible, as much as I love the carbines, I can’t deny that they aren’t the best weapon to use and if you looked what I said then you noticed that I put “1 shot down semi autos” which m1/m2 aren’t. G43 kurz is a 3 round burst so 30/3 is 10 shots, I also can’t comment on the reserve amount since I haven’t an idea on the reserve amount
ayo bro what should i call the third one?
Mad lad, how about waluigi or Wario lol
im not really surere what you trying to say here, considering you only answered 1 point of 6 point i give, i’d say the other 5 point are correct (?)
not quite right, it’s just
irrelevant, this topic isnt about the best weapon to begin with
yeah… so? what about that
since M2 is full auto, that mean M2 is 1 shot rifle right idk why this relevant, either way both still can do 30 shot
G43 Kurze ammo is the same as M2, 30/60
Not really since 1 shot means one shot to down or kill aka 1 bullet which g43k barely does because maxed out and the single pull gives you 3 bullets like an m16, m2 on the other hand can only do 8.0 at max so if you switch to semi automatic you can’t down anyone with a single shot. Now we know the damages we can do some more maths with the carbine…they have 60 in reserve and require 2 down which means with just the reserve ammo only you have effectively 30 rounds in reserve and 15 already loaded, for m1 carbine it goes to 8 loaded, this is because you have to round up from 7.5.
Thanks for telling me so it would be 20 effective in the reserve since you can’t fire just a single bullet
Thats not true. In berlin first axis smg has 1mag less then rest. Also in berlin mp41 has less ammo then other axis smgs
Also all semi autos follow exactly that rule except g43 kurz and carbines. Nothing to do their performace.
