Sure, but the uniforms is one of the easiest ways they can still preserve some sort of historical authenticity. Just because this game isn’t 100% realistic, doesn’t mean I want to see Soviets storming the beaches on D-day or Japanese fighting in Berlin.

My point is that asking for Italian uniforms for Italian squads in Moscow or Berlin is equally as stupid as asking for Moroccan uniforms for the Moroccan squad in Normandy. I think Italians should only have their uniforms in campaigns where they make sense i.e. Tunisia and Stalingrad.

If people want to use italians they want to see the italians in italian gear. If they wanted germans they’d use tech tree squads or german squads. People who play with italians WANT to see the italians gear.
No, I agree. I don’t want to see Italians running around in German uniforms either. I think Italians should be separated from Germany and be their own faction. Then we wouldn’t have to see Italians in Berlin or Moscow, they could have their own new campaigns like Sicily and Italian campaign.
But in the meanwhile, if they’re gonna add Italian uniforms outside Tunisia, it should only happen in Stalingrad because it’s the only campaign we currently have where it would make sense.

Their AT weapons were basically ATRs and would have a hard time vs a T-34 or even Sherman
they lack motars if memory serves. They lack tanks in general, They lack SMGs, They lack rifles.
Breaking Italy off would be basically killing off a ton of content from use. No one played italy in tunsisa. it’s why it was a bot farm for M O N T H s.

Only BR3-5 tanks really, like Japan they have a bunch of early tanks and like Japan, you could maybe sneak in one prototype tank to balance it out a bit (P.43 bis). Or like you said, it could be balanced with much better aircraft

Because it wasnt Italy, it was Germany+ and people didnt wanna grind YET ANOTHER German Campaign.
You can fill up rifle line with protos and trial guns, but Italy doesn’t have MGs, G55 is already in game and only G56 would be an improvement, a BR4 aircraft at best but will Italy do against P-47 spam? What about assault weapons line, Italy has no good candidate for AR unless you put Breda PG in AR instead of SF rifle.
The MG branch would be a little scarce, however the Italians used ZB26s and MG34s that could fill in at BRIII and IV but the Italians have a 100rnd Folgore Breda SAFAT Mod.35 MMG with a rifle stock just like the M1919A6. It would be so funny if we got that before a 100rnd MG42 lol. Again it would be even more varied than the Japanese tree but for some reason it would be unfeasible.

Well lets put it this way, I assume you play Germany. Do you have any interest in Italian weapons? I assume your answer is no. Well if we add Italy then we would take those weapons out of the German tree and put them in the Italian tree, thereby reducing the grind for all the German tree. No more shit tier pizza tanks in your tank line that you will never use, no more 6rnd semi autos before your superior 10rnd G41, no more Breda Mod.30 before your MG13, no more OVP or M1918 before your superior german toob gun that is definitely not a toob gun(MP40). It would be a win win. Unless for some reason you prefer Italian weapons and and think the German tree needs them

There is nothing to be gained from that, also how do you expect to take away guns from Germany when already half the playerbase own them.
Simple, do the same thing War Thunder did when they separated Italy from Germany.
1.No new players can unlock Italian weapons in German tree(because they will be gone)
2. You keep what you earned.
3. You can only get them if you already started researching them.

The planes were. Italian plane came out before italian tanks. And before italian air tree all italian planes were in the german tree.
