First of all, I’m really, really happy to see such an under-represented nation as Italy getting at least a partial showing in this game - fantastic to see, and I’ve long awaited the news of Tunisia with bated breath.
Now, the Italian uniform: I realize that the tunic is a true-to-life approximation of the sahariana tunic as worn by Italian forces in real life, but you must admit it does look a bit bland. I’m hoping that it’s a place-holder for the moment, I’m not entirely sure, but I would truly love to see it given a bit more Italian identity - the removal of the German fieldcaps and DAK pith helmets to be replaced with more Italian headwear such as the M33 steel helmet, tropical M1942 ‘bustina’ field caps with or without visors and M1935 tropical pith helmets as a first example.

To further add to these changes, to the lower-portion of the character models, the addition of puttees and hobnailed boots in lieu of jackboots to give the Italians a more unique look that helps them stand out from the German units present in the campaign. Perhaps the most unique addition to them that would set them apart the most from their German counterparts would be the addition of Carcano pouches in the iconic Italian cross-brace webbing format, with the addition of perhaps the standalone M1891 Carcano cavalry bandolier for added variety.

These are just a few of the additions that could be made to really flesh out the uniqueness of the Italian units and make them that much more stand-out, hyping interest players might have to choose them as their preferred squads and indeed to play the campaign and game in the first place. If anyone else has any ideas for their own additions, please feel free to throw them into the thread: I’m eager to see what people think of the Italians so far aesthetics-wise and what, if any, improvements they think could be made to set them apart.
